    The vanilla was definitely a nice addition but next time I'm adding some maple syrup or cane sugar to add a little sweetness. Maybe some cocoa nibs and oak chips too. Cheers some beers!

    I had never heard of this beer before but my lovely girlfriend picked it out for me. Home run. Really great breakfast stout!

    Has anyone seen a 'best commercials of 2014" show? It's a novelty that I enjoy every year and haven't seen it yet this year. I think this would be in the running

    maybe it was just a bottle, there was 1 experience 8 or so months after release where i found a bottle rather bitter. i got the impression the coffee had turned - the flavor i was getting was reminiscent of cheap black coffee. not sure if it was a bad palate day, inferior bottle or just me being oversensitive.

    it's funny, at that juncture where i thought it turned, i was pretty down on the fact i picked up so many. my philosophy initially was worst case scenario, the coffee flavors plummet, i wind up with an additional cache of IRS bottles (win/win). you can imagine that off tasting bottle had me worried i had a couple of cases of Foldgers on my hands. i laid off for a bit when that happened but thankfully every bottle since has been excellent. now i'm back to regretting i didn't get more.

    Thats good to hear. I typically prefer coffee stouts with subtle coffee notes that really just enhance the base beer and are not too over powering. Cant wait to give it a try with some age. Hopefully stone will brew it again sometime down the road. Now Im really curious as to what this years odd year release will be.

    Went to the beach to ring in the new year, beautiful day out, a little chilly for here (mid 70's), so not too many people out.

    Got home and finished this one off from the night before, with a friend. This is one of my top 10 beers (this one's from 2013). Now, I have to figure out how to get more, since I live way the f out in Hawai'i. Anybody want some Hawaiian beer for Cigar City stuff? 8) Big Mahalo Nui Loa to @BKnarr for this one.
