I just finished up my trip to Tennessee and I was really impressed with your beer scene. Admittedly I was primarily around Nashville and the immediate area and my plans to visit Memphis were thwarted. However, I really loved all of the beer I tried - and I drank only Tennessee beers.

I tried several of your breweries and found your beers excellent all around. In fact, I probably tried close to 100 different beers and did not really find a bad one! Note that this comes from a complete beer snob (me!) and one who is from Southern California who has access to a whole lot of great beer!

Anyway, I just wanted to give a comment from a Southern Californian who wanted to go on record that your beers are really good and perhaps don't get the credit or national acclaim that they deserve.

I'm looking forward to trying a lot more beers from the South and will start going out of my way to get some.

And, I'm already planning another trip! You've got one Yankee here who truly found Tennessee one of the best, coolest, friendliest places in the country. Thanks!

So glad you enjoyed your trip! TN has come a long way in the past few years... Let me know if you make it to the western side of the state and I will buy you a beer...

Glad you enjoyed your trip! Nashville is an awesome city and the beer scene in the entire state is really booming. Next time try to make it to the eastern part of the state. Knoxville is pretty cool and the far northeastern part of the state where I live (Johnson City) is an undiscovered gem; beautiful scenery, up and coming beer scene, and less than an hour from Asheville, NC!

Any chance you can share some info on your trip? I'm coming to Nashville in March and looking for some advise on where to hit up.

    Cheers!

Glad you enjoyed it man! Honestly, the scene in Tn is pretty thriving. The feel of earthy, homegrown goodness has finally crossed over the mountain from Asheville. If you're ever in Johnson City or Kingsport, I'll be around, playing music and enjoying good beer.

I have yet to have a bad beer from a Tennessee brewery.
