NBS BIF #1 hints

Even if I wasn't already ruled out by your earlier hints, I'd know I'm not your target because I have no idea what B1G means (though it will probably turn out to be a forehead slapper when revealed).

 

I resemble that hint!

 

Hint # 5 - My target's address is in a city mentioned in a song by a somewhat reclusive and sometimes irascible musician. This song may have found it's way into a film.

 

Alright, long time no see, but the move I just completed has been pretty hectic. Tennessee to Indiana (that might help my target.)

Recap:
Hint 1: I'm Shipping north (this one actually changed... I'm now shipping due east)
Hint 2: My target's state is one of the original 13 colonies.

I'll give a few new ones to help this along.

New:
Hint 3: If I wanted to drive to your state, I just cut my drive in half. I would give you a time , but that might make it too easy.
Hint 4: My target has not posted on this thread in a while, but has posted.
Hint 6: The closest NFL team to you (geographically speaking) has a wide receiver that singlehandedly won me a few games in Fantasy Football this year.

I also fit a few of the hints here, but still need to go back through all of the posts to try to eliminate myself. I have a few ideas on who my sender is though.

 

Reminds me of when Douglas Adams put the blurb on one of his books that it was part of the "increasingly inaccurate" Hitchhikers' Trilogy - I think it was book # 5!

Hint #7(ish)
My recipient dwells in the heart of the habitat of a certain avian creature, one in particular is one of the most famous (a fantastic hitter, and this specific one known for his tenacity, never missed being part of the action). Oh, and this specific one had a nickname that one could mistake for somebody who is from my homestate.

Next three hints are historical in nature, so my target would have to be in touch with the background of the city in his address – if he or she isn't from there, these may fly right by:

Hint # 6 – A former Vice President was once a resident of the city my package will be sent to. If he hadn’t made the bad career move of dying, he would have become President himself.

Hint # 7 – A founding father was instrumental in creating the city my target has as his address by helping form a company that led to it’s establishment near some “great falls” (that’s NOT the name of the city).

Hint # 8 – Speaking of founding fathers, three people of that era are mentioned early on when you look up the page devoted to this city on Wikipedia.

 

My target's state was one of the original 13 colonies too .

Also this state has at least 3 presidents born there.

 

I am guessing I would know this town, although I'm quite sure it's not mine.

 

And you would be right, at least on the second count, and quite possibly the first as well. It's not exactly a small town, and a bit infamous in it's way (though most places are for one reason or another).

Hint # 9 - My target posted early, but not often (at least in this thread). He may be out of town.

 

Crazy. At the risk of making a pretentious literary reference (and going off topic), that thread sounds so impenetrable it reminds me of Jarndyce & Jarndyce.

 

Wow these hints are confusing, and sad part is I already ruled myself for just about everyone posting regular hints but I still read the new ones and try to figure out if they're about me for some reason.

 

And also, I'm tired, so no hint today!
