NBO - Sixterhood trip #11
For this round I am not going to make you guess any personal facts about me. Simply put if you want consideration BM your address. The only stipulation is you must enjoy stouts & strong IPAs. If that's not your thing then skip this trip and sign up for a future trip, don't send me your address and wait for the next person to post their NBO to sign up.

Signup period ends at midnight Thursday January 8, 2015.

How Sixterhood works:

1) The current holder of the Sixterhood box will make a post in the Locals BIF thread saying that the signup period for the next Trip is open and will be open for 2 or 3 days. Anyone that would like to be a potential target for the box would send their address information in a BM to the current holder of the box. To be eligible the person must have:
a) participated in Locals BIF rounds 1, 2 (summer 6'er), 3, or 4 (winter 6'er, current round)
b) have not already received the Sixterhood box.

2) After the signup period is over, the current holder will randomly pick the next lucky recipient of the Sixterhood box. They will not announce this person nor the number of people that signed up, but instead will start posting hints as to where the box is going (BIF style hints). If no one signs up to be the next recipient then, as the original founder, heystevec will be the final recipient (hopefully without him knowing that it is coming to him).

3) The holder of the Sixterhood box will fill the box with high quality local bottles or wants and ship it to the target. Make it a kickass box, but with this group of people I know we won't have to worry about that. Also, add the targets name to the tracking board in the box and add any 'decorations' that you wish to help commemorate the box's visit to your state.

4) Once the box is received by the target, they will post the pr0n for all to enjoy.

5) Start over at #1

You do not have to enter every signup period. You can pick and choose when you want to be in consideration to be the next recipient. This would be nice if the current holder of the box is from your own state or an adjoining state or if you are going to be out of town for a while or whatever. Jump in and out as you please.

DON'T send the box this week...please... I just checked the weather and it is going to be a cold one.

To my Target, your weather is cool for beer shipping year round, albeit a little wet. I'll try to ship sometime this week.

 

Pretty cold here in cincy too...I'll be home Friday/Saturday to receive a box but otherwise I would say hold off on sending anything this way as well.

I feel like doing the sixterhood for once, but also don't think I have it in me to do 3 boxes in the next ~month and a half or so. Maybe next round once I stabilize a bit more.

Agree. Love seeing the Sixterhood box postings and how it has become a fun part of this group. But, in a totally selfish way, I would like to see this round end just so that I could get in on it again. .

Each time someone posts the **** from the sixterhood box I keep hoping they post a pic of the tracking chart in order to see if any additional decorations have been added. @Louis121 any chance you could do that?

 

@Mikexw and/or @Lehighace06 I have been informed that I've got a bone to picky with you.

 

So the tasting today went awesome. The group consensus was that Hunhapus and Focal Banger where the top beers. I agree with that. Not to toot my own horn but the food I made for after the tasting was awesome. I crushed and now I'm sitting down with a Founders Black Rye.


One of us however couldn't hold his own and is out for the count.

that's awesome. Where did you come up with that one? We made some from the Harry Potter book of recipes, but a bottled version.

Sorry to interject where I don't belong but I'm still getting the lay of the land around here and I do a lot of thread lurking. I asked this exact same question and the direct response is that cans will be available for purchase in case form, 6 four packs per tray.
