    Surely many of us agree that this forum could use an easily searchable/bump-able "I'm visiting Seattle, where should I go?" thread. Here, I'll attempt to cull the consensus "must-hits," along with other highly recommended Seattle breweries, brewpubs, bottle shops & beer bars that appear in this type of BA thread. Recommendations & suggestions are encouraged.

    Hi folks - I'm going to be in Seattle this weekend. Are there any particular seasons currently generally available (I'll likely be stopping at the northern Chucks on my way into town from Vancouver) that you'd recommend picking up? I'm pretty much exclusively looking for stouts, but would be happy with IPA recommendations as well. I know a lot of the big names in the style, but looking for a bit of guidance around what's likely to actually still be on shelves.

    I haven't been in lately, but it might be worth stopping at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham on your way down. You'll likely pay a premium, but sometimes beers hang around because ES tends to be on the high side for Bellingham.

    i'm not sure. last time i was there, it was a weird place. has anyone been lately?

    should have the masonry on the list, as well. it's a beer-centric pizza shop, and i believe they do bottles-to-go.

    I'm doing the research. But off the top of anyones head, any of these bottle shops close to a transit stop from SeaTac? Figure I might just take that up a ways to a bottleshop, then get a taxi/uber to Bellevue. Looks like Full Throttle is fairly close to the Beacon Hill stop. Would that be the best bet?

    that's not a walk i would do. pretty far.

    i would just get off at the last stop (westlake), and either go to whole foods-west lake or pear market.

    Full Throttle is a pretty long ways from the Beacon Hill stop. The most convenient would be Chucks CD, getting off at University street and then grabbing a cab up the hill (also the 2 bus goes right there). Or there is Pear Delicatessen in Pikes Place that has good selection.

    I'm fine doing a cab/uber from the rail to a shop too. Having to go to Bellevue afterwards just thinking of a way to route this.

    If you're going to Bellevue, just hit up Malt and Vine on the Eastside.

    I think this is what I am going to do now, and might take a cab to Mammoth afterwards. Hotel shuttle might be able to take me Whole Foods in Bellevue too. .5 mile out of their 5 mile range.

    FYI - The cab ride from Malt & Vine in Redmond to Mammoth in Seattle is approx. 16 miles (including crossing a toll bridge). And if you plan on taking this cab ride during rush hour, this trip will likely take you 45 minutes to an hour. If you leave Seattle for the eastside (i.e., Bellevue, Redmond, etc.), you would be better served to not return to Seattle unless you have to. From your hotel in Bellevue, you can hit Whole Foods, Malt & Vine, and Black Raven Brewing. While Mammoth's sandwiches are top notch and the current taplist is excellent, it's not worth a trip back to Seattle IMO.

    Malt and Vine & Black Raven would be a good combo. As much as I hate the Eastide and love Seattle, trying to get back into Seattle when staying on the Eastside without your own car is not recommended.
