Not sure if this would pose an issue posting this as the trade was agreed to on another board but I am tried of getting the freaking run around. If this isnt ok Mod's please let me know.

Let me 1st say that I have attempted to resolve this issue for quite a while. This initial trade went down in late June (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7206&hilit=+ISO%3A+Fermier+FT%3A+List) You can see that Kinghophead was the one looking for the bottle and Mikehighplains posted (Post 3) that he would kick in a Grey Monday in to make these trades happen. If it weren't for that post I wouldn't have made the trade in the 1st place.

I have 13 PM's in my inbox from both Mikehighplains and Kinghophead about said bottle. I keep getting told that the bottle is coming in the "next" shipment that will be coming next week. To me almost 7 months for a single bottle is more than enough time to expect it to be shipped. Mike has been unavailable and hasn't returned my PM's, Kinghophead is the only one communicating to me and keeps saying "next week."

Just be aware, I have never made a trade like this before and never will again.

    Whats up Dan

    2 things

1 - @mikehighplains and one of his friends have dicked me around in the past before.
2 - you should trade all your Perennial / Side Project to me anyways

If I had a Grey Monday I would send it your way

Well, that is certainly not great news. I traded the bottle to a local guy after @mikehighplains posted the add otherwise I would have kept it. But yeah we need to get together and trade again!

So you already shipped your bottles, is that correct? What does he mean by next shipment? Does he mean that your box was to be sent with the next shipment he's making?

He's continuing to actively trade despite not sending you what is owed. It appears that he's had at least 2 trades here during the time your beer was owed & possibly at other sites as well.

Has he given any reason, however lame, for such an unconscionable delay?

WagonCircler, you mention that you had a previous bad experience with mikehighplains & one of his friends. Do you know if it's the same person that offered to provide a Grey Monday? Was your experience similar to this one or different? How did it conclude, ie did you eventually get the beer you were due?

@JavaNoire It was a local trade but Mike was going to throw in the Grey Monday to help get the trade local done quicker. I was told it was going to be included in the next box he sent to the local trader. He has been radio silent for many months. I have to go thru the local trader to get updates which always include "In the next box"

It sounds like the GM isn't going to happen. I suspect the mikehighplains made a public display of generosity that he privately lacked the integrity to follow through on. He got to play the benevolent big shot but didn't like the cost of honest follow through. A shameful & utterly dickwad act (assuming Kinghophead's version is true & accurate).

It's a sticky situation, but imo Kinghophead should make it right with you. If he doesn't have a GM he should pony up beer equivalent to GM+ that is acceptable to you. I'm specifying GM+ because imo when someone is forced to accept substitutions the beer substituted should be at least slightly more valuable &/or desirable than the beer originally agreed upon.

If it was me I would suggest this to Kinghophead. Mikehighplains owes Kinghophead a GM but that really shouldn't be your burden to bear. Your agreement was solely with Kinghophead who needs to fix the situation with you as best he can. He can then resolve the situation with Mike or not, but that is (or should be) his problem, not yours.

And WagonCircler is wrong. You should trade all of your Perennial/SP to moi....<jk>

@mikehighplains was on BA as recently as last Wed. Two people here have expressed dissatisfaction with him & indicated he was slack or worse regarding his responsibilities. Facing such serious allegations, I hope he posts here to provide some explanations, & more importantly, strive to fix things ASAP.

This situation has been rectified and the bottle has been shipped. I offered to kick in a bottle to help out with a trade partner and it slipped through the cracks. No reasonable excuse - I just forgot. This was worked out on another site which I rarely use anymore, thus the poor communication. I reached out to @ACESFULL Saturday evening to let him know that the bottle was heading out on Monday.

The trade with @WagonCircler was passed off to a friend, so the being "dicked around" should probably be aired out with him. I worked out the details of the trade and stepped out. My friend didn't communicate, and the trade fell apart. I offered to reimburse the cost of the shipping label once I found out and heard nothing.

I apologize for the headache - the GM has been sent to @ACESFULL

Mikehighplains, thanks for your response. I'm much less active on a couple of other sites myself. Your explanation reminds me that despite not being very active on them I should log in occasionally just to be sure there's nothing that needs my attention I might have inadvertently over looked. It also appears my assessment of you was precipitate & unnecessarily harsh. My apologies & kudos for remaining calm & courteous.

I hope so. @mikehighplains is definitely not a bad trader. I didn't see this till now. I went in on a trade with my friend @Jballn for a nice bottle from @mikehighplains and he was nothing but a gentleman and awesome trader.
