That's a bit perplexing. That beer should be selling in the General Store 2-3 days tops after being packaged.

It should but I don't believe that happens with any of their beers. I have no idea why it takes almost 2 weeks to go from the bottling line to the General Store but that seems to be the case

Yeah looks like last year it was bottled on 12/20 and released on 1/2. Maybe it will be 1/12. Oh wellz.

Bell's bottle conditions beer. It usually takes 2 or so weeks to carbonate a beer.

It's supposed to be on the end cap at Meijers right now but no luck yet

I want 3-4 cases this year. Its my goal to put on 10lbs of Hopslam weight strictly around my navel and in my man tits.

Yeah, I pretty much hate this beer, but only because of the honey. I'm super-sensitive to honey (not allergic or anything, it's just really unpleasant to my palate, and even the slightest hint of it it overpowers anything else.) It's unfortunate, because whenever I try Hopslam, I feel like there's a really good beer hiding under the vomit flavor (aka "honey"), but this is basically the only Bell's IPA I don't love.

Oh, it's probably just because you don't like Hopslam and tons of other people do. That's the beauty of personal taste perceptions. I assume there are some foods/beverages that you like and other people don't?

I hate Limburger cheese, but lots of people love it. IMO Limburger is overrated, since a bunch of people like it and I don't.

I couldn't even get 1 bottle here in Columbus last year. One of the local shops was hoarding it all... they even went to local Giant Eagles (Ohio/PA big box grocer) and bought every case, then marked it up to $4 or $5 for a bottle. Eff that. Not even trying to get it this year. Have just as good or better options out there, plus homebrews which are plenty hoppy.

To each his own, but you're crazy. Have you tried any honey that is good quality? I find it strange that someone likes hops, but not honey. I never really understood honey being in Hopslam though...

In 2013 I remember they bottled Oracle on a Friday and the following Monday or Tuesday it was at the General Store. It still sticks out in my mind drinking a beer that was bottled just 3 days prior. Also this would tell me that they don't bottle condition their beers, at least not all of them.

I'll buy my case as always, I LOVE this beer!

Fermentable sugar. Dries the beer out.

In 2011 I was able to get Hopslam in the Chicago area 3 days after bottling. Yes, 3 days. I have the batch number from my review. Granted it was my first time having Hopslam but it tasted gloriously.

Friday is the first day of Kalamazoo beer week = good timing for a release.

my buddy was at the pub yesterday and they said january 12. i like this beer, and it is a MUST have from a business standpoint. i will do 11 oz for 4.50 more then likely if i get a barrel, depends on if the price increased or not.

The only bad thing about Hopslam is the price. It's a great beer, just not worth the $20 six pack, IMO

It's also really difficult to get down in Florida. It's a one day and it's gone type of beer.

Completely agree, but it also leaves some residual flavors. We usually just use corn sugar in our homebrew IPAs to dry them out and they usually turn out great. Would like to experiment more with honey though.

If it makes you feel any better, it equals out to about $6 a bomber.... which, IMO, is a great price for a DIPA with so many credentials.
