Couple of people say nice things about a beer in here, and suddenly it is flying all around the country.

Here's a question for everyone. Would any of you consider buying a Bourbon County Rare for $200 if you saw it on a restaurants cellar menu?

 

You don't have to, I could probably make it worth your while, but not in quantity like an out of stater, where in NJ? I'm in union county

 

No, I'm too cheap, and I don't think I could tell the difference from regular BCBS

Got my box back from FedEx today. It was eventful. To enter the office I had to go through a locked gate with barbed wire all around (with no entry or exit other than for someone to "buzz" you in/out). Once inside they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about when I explained the previous night's conversation with the clerk. After about 15 mins waiting they brought my box out of the back (it was clearly stained from some beer). They made me sign for it and said they can't ship alcohol. So end of story.....but wait there's more. I'm feeling good, got my box, walking out to the gate..when on the other side of the gate there is an unmarked police car with an officer in the front seat. I just about shit my pants, and the thought did cross my mind to drop the box and run, except I was behind the gate with barbed wire. So I sucked it up, said f** it and walked on out, hopped in my truck and got the hell out of dodge. I survived with no arrest, but that drive home felt like I was on the lamb, constantly looking over my shoulder for the fuzz and driving exactly 1mph over the speed limit.
So, your box is slightly delayed but will be sent Monday pending me not being incarcerated.

1) I travel to a lot of shitty places (no offense to those that live in those places, but I never get to go to Chicago or some other awesome place). Name the place I go the most ( not in nj) Buffalo
2) name its signature candy (hint: it is more famous for a different food item) Sponge Candy
3) name the craft brewery that I tried first (no hints) Sam Adams
4) name one of my favorite 2 bands (hint: both are active) Pearl Jam, Justin Bieber

 

Maybe if I had 20 of my friends with me and we all just wanted to try an oz or so of it for $10 a piece... just to say that I'd had it... but that's a ridiculous price for one beer...

 

Does Sam Adams even count as craft beer anymore? They've really fallen off in my book...

There is a place in Vegas (@Syracuse12 you should know ) in the Venetian that has some crazy craft beer prices. It really the only place on the strip with a good menu, but you're gonna pay. I may or may not have gotten drunk and shelled out some winnings on something special once or twice. So, I guess it depends.

 

But WHEN he had it......
