Okay, just want to complain for a bit about this guy @Premo88 . This is what I came back to find yday

I used to enjoy summer nights barbecuing and sipping good beer on cool evenings on that porch. And it is all this fella @Premo88 to blame for it. Without warning he sent this to me, well wrapped and double boxed. It is hard to see beneath the rubble of my porch, but here is what was inside that box

Ya know, we all are beer lovers here, and I am always happy to get beer, but the least this @Premo88 could have done was sent me some beer I had at least tried before! Nope, not a one of em have I tried before. The nerve!

Haha folks I am in awe here, what a box! Thanks so much sir, I shall enjoy these for Sundays to come, while posting on NBS, and while rebuilding my porch. Thankyou so very much and Cheers!

this is the shit that I love about being a BA, all the generosity that comes our way, (especially the NBS crew) you guys/gals are all like my second family. it's the one thing that gets me thru a shitty work week(all 6 days), looking forward to NBS

I feel you man, I've only recently dived into the BA forums but the NBS and BIF stuff really caught my attention. The generosity that everyone on here shows towards relative or even sometimes absolute strangers is amazing. I've done some in person trades and am I actually just working on my first real one on BA now but the whole BIF idea is much more my speed. Sending a stranger great beer and getting a surprise box of awesome stuff really appeals to me.

Anyways, the first two boxes shipped in this group has been amazing, there's only like 24 more to go and I look forward to seeing what shows up and crushes someone's porch next!

@cavedave is kind ... he may find those beers all suck :stuck_out_tongue:

but seriously, *whew*! I knew Dave hadn't tried the New Republic beer, but I sweated out everything else. Some of you BAs seem to have had everything.

Happy drinking ... hope you enjoy them and can't wait to hear what you think.

Since we're getting down to the revealing phase, and I have received no indication that my target has guessed his or her identity, I figure I may as well get down to my most specific clue. Since I plan on shipping early next week, if this gives it away (and it damn well should), I won't lose any sleep.

Poetry in motion, hints hidden in prose; My hint is quite plain, and right under your nose.
It starts in a square, an incarnation of god - Or a film in 3d, almost 3 hours trod.

Inside is a study of levity on set; Though a lawsuit would emerge, if modernly beget.
Refer to one half (on PC, phone, or Mac): he is shorter than Ming, yet taller than Shaq.

    These clues should directly an answer imbue;
If combined they don't help, I've nothing else for you.

I love Texas beers man, and I can't wait for Sunday to sink palate into some of them. I am excited for all of them, and am resisting looking them up, but I think I may be most excited for the two Republic Brewing beers because I have never even heard of that brewery. Love trying small batch beers, but a small batch tripel and sweet potato porter? Yes, please. Thanks again, and see ya on Sunday. Cheers!

P.S. Thanks for sending your email address so I can send over a copy of the repair bill for the porch:slight_smile:

So, apparently I don't really understand this whole BIF thing. I got back from Fedex a while ago, and did some math. Even though I'm the one who set the ounce limits, I clearly did not grasp the concept. I ended up with one can that wouldn't fit in the inner box, and had to squeeze it between the two boxes. And, I tried reusing the boxes that Shroud sent my beers in. Which worked great, until I was taping up the outer box, and realized that the bottom was soaked wet. Oopsie. I cut up another box, and taped to the bottom, we should be good. I used almost a whole roll of glass tape, and almost a whole roll of clear packing tape. So even if the box falls apart, the tape wad should hold everything together.

I hope @strohme2 has a sharp knife ready. Maybe even a small saw. That sucker is TAPED!

Well, if you want to do a straight up trade in a few weeks, I'm always in the mood for some Troegs.

I don't think any of us are sending only 64oz. of beer (kind of a waste) the 26 or whatever of us are (imo) some of the generous ones that exist on BA

edit: I know there is also some real generous other ba's out there but not in this bif

    Hint #1 - going east
Hint #2 - also going a little south, but then I live in MN, not called the North Star for nothing.
Hint #3 - going to one of the original 13.

The timeline got away from me. I hope by sending it Monday (I thought I had another week) it will be received in time for NBS on 1/18.

You do have another week. Our target date for arrivals is Thursday, 1/22. The big NBS share is Sunday, 1/25. But, you'll be seeing NBS posts starting this week. You got some time yet.

These may be the last couple hints from me:

My target's city is 7.9 sq miles of land with 0.0 sq miles of water and was founded in 1847.

Although I went over 64, I didn't go over that much, for a couple reasons, one being that I was sort of following the "rules". Another being a general fear if this whole packing/shipping thing. Apologies to my target ahead of time for his/her relatively light package. If all goes smooth and I get a great box, maybe I'll send a follow up package.

    Live and learn.

No worries. Extras are just that, extra. I kinda spaced out on the oz thing, and was kinda counting containers. I was wondering why the box I sent was so heavy, that's when I started adding up the ounces. I'll tell the group the details after he digs into his box.:grinning:
