More for discussion than poll but with all that SN is putting on the shelves I wonder how many of us could go exclusive. I know I know variety is the spice of life and how could one go without Heady Topper or Pliny the Elder?

If nothing else, between Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams, that would probably be the most cost effective way to drink craft beer for a year.

Some of us don't get Pliny or Heady and we survive. And no, I cannot drink one brewery all year, in fact I rarely drink the same brewery each weekend. Yes, variety is the spice of life.

I'd like to see SN do the Coffee Stout year-round instead of limiting it to their Snowpack

I don't think that Sierra Nevada offers quite enough variety for me to go exclusive for a year, that being said I usually have some of their beers in my fridge at all times

I have a lot of respect for Sierra Nevada, but I am not so fond of them that I would pick them as my exclusive brewery. Just a personal preference.

I am happy to say that I am a Sierra Nevada portfolio drinker and have been for years. The Torpedo is my stock beer always in the fridge IPA. The fantastic variety and freshness of their beers can't be beat. Celebration Fresh Hop, Harvest Series, the new themed 12-packs, Hoptimum, Narwhal, Bigfoot, Pale Ale, Beer Camp...and the goodness goes on and on...With that said I always have plenty of room in the fridge to dabble with other IPAs, Stouts, Sours, Belgians and anything else that comes to mind. Variety is the spice of life.

Can't wait to get my hands on some Hop Hunter IPA...That one is going to be big!

I am probably at 50% SN and 50% other breweries. I agree would be hard to go exclusive but if had to pick just one brewery it would be SN.

Too many good things I haven't tried and more every day.

I love SN but don't limit myself that strictly.

Sierra Nevada could be my only brewery but I also love Firestone Walker. I buy more from SA and FW than any other breweries. If FW brewed a year round stout of any style, they'd get more love from me. Of course the stout would have to be good.

I'm not gonna do it but I certainly could without tears, and their new Nooner Pilsner makes it an even more viable option.

While a plurality of my beer comes from SN, they don't brew some of my favorite styles. No way I could live without weizenbocks, doppelbocks, or English barleywines, just to name a few.

@Catracho5 isn't SN stout made year round? Its a damn good stout either way.

Edit: year round according to BA

I could if something was at stake that would make it worth doing. These guys started my love for American made craft beers back in 2001 and I like most things they make; as long as it is a style i drink. I don't love Narwhal and Stout by them, for whatever reason, but I suppose I wouldn't mind drinking the porter in lieu of those. And all their hoppy stuff is killer and what i drink 80% of the time anyhow. I don't drink saisons and sours and dopplebocks and a lot of the other styles they don't brew which helps.

Sierra Nevada just doesn't do it for me. That said, their two best beers are their Porter and Kellerweis IMO.

Interesting question: if I had to drink beer from only one brewery, what would that brewery be?

The four breweries that come to mind are Hill Farmstead, Sierra Nevada, Firestone Walker and Victory. If the selection criteria was depth of beer variety I would choose either Sierra Nevada or Victory, If the selection criteria was the brewery who produces the most outstanding beer brands the choice would be Hill Farmstead.

Thank goodness I really don’t have to make this choice; there is so much high quality beers out there including imports from Europe.

    Cheers!

Sierra Nevada makes some mighty fine beers. most impressive to me, is how the quality of their beers hold up in regard to their large volume and distribution, which i can't say about others. having daily access to local fresh made beers like surly, toppling goliath, new glarus, indeed, ale asylum.......well, their portfolio of beers are strong enough to keep the spice and consistency of life going, while getting the freshest beer possible. the fact that it is more local, decreases costs, so not only am i getting fresh beer, but it's around the same price as a 6pk of Sierra Nevada.
