Cant tell you how they were, but all the 2014 Barrel Society beers are listed on their site with descriptions.

You can find a list on our website of the 7 beers. Go to Our Beers -> Barrel Society -> 2014 Barrel Society. First one was Aurora: http://www.nightshiftbrewing.com/beers/barrel-society/2014-night-shift-barrel-society/6102-2/

Keep in mind that we might not have extras of all the beers to sell in February. It will depend on what didn't get picked up and how many "buffer" cases we kept. But there was a good amount of beer leftover from last year so should be good options to snag.

Any chance they last until mid-March?

Highly unlikely the extras will last more than a day or two. We have over 1,100 members this year and with a total guess that we only have a few hundred unclaimed bottles for sale they won't last long. But we are still working on the details of how the extras from 2014 will be sold.

I'm flying in for work around 6, so I was thinking of hopping an Uber after I get changed. I should get to the taproom a little after 7. Staying in Copley Square, so it looks like only a 10ish minute trip.

you're saying Copley Square to Night Shift is a 10-minute drive at 6:30pm? you've never been in a car in Boston, have you?

Plenty of times. Traffic wasn't bad at all save for one on-ramp. I guess if we're speaking literally, it actually took 12 minutes. It all depends on the driver and avoiding interstates when possible.

A big thank you to the whole Night Shift crew for the fantastic year-end party for the 2014 Barrel Society last night! The event was run very smoothly, fantastic food and, of course, tons of amazing beers to sample. All 7 Society beers were on tap in addition to their regular lineup and a few extra vintage beers. And thank you for putting up a projector and running the Pat's game. Essential!

What a fantastic brewery, I have only been once and loved it. Stop, collaborate, and listen was one of the best beers I have ever had. The ever Weiss was also incredible. Most of the other beers were exciting because they were different. I just wish Boston was not so far. If I was within 30 minutes of the brewery I would definitely be a member. Many of those beers sound super unique. I cannot wait to get up to Boston again.

Side note, does anyone know the bottle shop farthest south that carries night shift? Do any of their sours ever make it to the store?

I did a day trip from Stamford to Jack's Abby, Tree House and a bottle shop called Julio's in Westborough, MA that had a few bottles at that time. There weren't any sours, but I'll defer to @masterob8 on a more complete answer.

BTW - on my overnight trip to Boston, I managed to pick up a super fresh Taza Stout and Mainer Weisse. Also tasted through everything on tap....that Pluto was fantastic.

The sours usually pop up in a few bottle shops right before a new one is being released at the brewery. Mainer is at a few shops now. I think Cape Codder comes out in a couple weeks.

The furtherest south is probably Moonshine Wine and Spirits in Hingham. Currently, only a tiny bit (a case or two of each release) of our sours and barrel aged beers make it to stores.

BUT we are working hard on changing that and trying to get more of that goodness out to stores. We are going to produce more sours and barrel aged beers this year than ever before. So we should be able to spread the love around!

Cape Codder comes out Wednesday 21st!

We have a killer set of beers coming out the next few weeks from a fresh batch of Morph getting canned tomorrow, to Bean Porter this Wednesday, cans of Whirlpool making a return next week (1/20) as well as Cape Codder(1/21), and lastly ending the month with El Lechedor(1/28). Hope everyone enjoys!

Do you mean Moonshine Liquors in Hyannis? Cause they're significantly further south than Hingham and I was pleased to see your stuff there.
