I just did a quick search and didn't see a thread yet...
Anyone have any speculative guesses as to what the 2015 Odd Year OG and IRS will be?
2013's variants were tasty, @Highbrow will attest to the Espresso IRS's quality, but wondering if anyone had any credible info, or pure speculative, as to what this year will bring.

Hoping they revisit the Espresso IRS. That was pretty darn awesome.

Really hoping for Espresso IRS! Don't really care much about the OG variant as original OG is an amazing beer in itself and honestly doesn't need any changes. Same could be said for IRS but the Espresso just adds such a nice twist.

It's rally a mute point since i'll try both but since ERIS was so great and the oak aged OG was delicious (more so that their Delicious IPA but less so than ERIS), I'm just curious.
Thanks to @DIM for his post. Leaves a bit to be desired but we'll see!

Why in the world would they make Old Guardian even hoppier? What a lame as hell odd-year release. They used an extremely "dirty" Belgian yeast for 2011, for 2013 they change 20% of the grain bill to smoked wheat, and this time...they make their extremely hoppy barleywine a bit more hoppy?

Complete waste of an odd-year release. Hopefully they don't have something lazy planned for Odd Year IRS.

I'm looking forward to the extra hoppy. I'm guessing it'll be extra dry hopped (not sure if OG is dry hopped anyway) but with a few different varieties of hops, I bet this could really change up the beer.

Mint chocolate IRS sounds incredible and should be done.

Im kinda dissapointed in the OG. I was hoping for just oaked and not smoked. Its pretty hoppy how it is already. But ill give it a taste. really excited to hear what they do for IRS. hopefully they stay away from belgo!

Vanilla IRS is what im hoping for!

Vanilla IRS would be tits! I love the espresso. The bitterness from the coffee cuts the OGs sweetness just enough to make it that much more enjoyable.

I think you are a little confused, the 2013 OG odd release wasn't oaked at all, just partially smoked (wheat malt was oak-smoked). Either that or I'm misunderstanding what you wrote.

Giving IRS the Smoked Porter w/Chipotle treatment would merit multiple purchases from me. Preferably not peat-smoked though, I vote oak or cherrywood.

The OG extra hop sounds delicious. I had the 13 and 14. More hops the better I say.

It sounds weird, but a local brewery near me did a chai spiced imperial stout that was pretty tasty. It was penrose brewing's spectral. I thought it would be weird but it was really good.
