Hopslam was bottled on 1/8, and hit the general store at Bell's today. It is as good as I remember, and pretty awesome fresh. Just an FYI for those of you that are interested...

An exceptional IPA at one time but that time is now over.
Far too many easily available IPAs are just as good or better IMO

    More for you guys

I'll probably pick it up if I found it where I frequent, but not likely to search it out - I love it, but I'm in drink-down mode so my buying is limited.

I still love it. There are some other great IPA's, but this is still one of the best non-whale IPA's out there. Thanks for the heads-up!

Not an IPA guy. But I'd pick some up for trade purposes.

At 10% ABV Hopslam is not an IPA, and as balanced as it is, I still feel like it is a big step up from other beers in its category. I've had many other similar beers that just end up as a sweet syrupy mess. Hopslam will too eventually, but right now those hops are beautiful.

While I agree for the most part that Hopslam is overhyped and took a pass last year as a result, I am looking forward to giving it another shot this year, especially fresh. Thanks for the heads up OP

Don't think it'll trade all that well seeing as a huge portion of the country gets it in distro

Pretty sure they messed up the recipe this year. I can't taste the .rar anymore.

It was way better when it was bottled on 1/8.

I regret passing on it last year and will pick some up if I see it this year

How do you figure that Hopslam is not a whale? It's hard to find here in Eastern PA and almost always available with tight bottle limits and/or tiny pours. That = whale to me.

Shangys always has it in eastern PA.

I loved this beer and I'm sure that it's still great but I'm with the others who think there are so many easily obtainable/affordable DIPAs here to bust ass trying to get a sixer in PA or NY. Of course, I wouldn't turn some down if, say, my bro-in-law in NY were to buy some...

Love that beer. I gave up trading years ago, but that one has nearly drug me back into the fray several times. There's just nothing else quite like it anywhere. I even like it with some time on it...and I'm not scared to admit that either.

If I recall correctly, it sold out in just hours last year. I believe they keep the lion's share for themselves as well. We'll see what happens this year.

The ABV and the price will probably keep me from buying it again. I just don't go through brews as fast as I used to. Still a great beer, though.

This is a beer that I wish cam in 4-packs. Actually, I'd prefer it if all pricier/higher ABV beers were in 4-packs.
