That was me. The key is to keep insistenting on getting CBS. They will act like they don't know what you're talking about but if you keep insisting on a CBS pour the bartender will eventually cave and give you a glass from their tap.

Maybe this was the group that was treating the waitstaff poorly and finally got their way? (not trying to be a jerk here, but i know our server said that other patrons were being a bit jerky)

I was there until shortly after 7, they were still doing flights as far as I could tell.

My friend and I were each allowed to get a single pour for $5 - but only after we had each finished an entire flight.

Not to hijack a good thread about CBS elsewhere, but in St. Louis Exit 6 put theirs on tap Saturday.

The 2 bartenders were surprised at the turn out of about 40-50 at opening at 4 and were fairly overwhelmed. They stayed composed though, and ran out of glasses about 30 pours in. They had more glasses to unbox and I offered to help. 3 boxes later, they asked my order, and I was promptly served for helping them out. They did not have a limit on pours, and most people played nice and only ordered 1 or 2. The no limit was nice because I was able to order a pour for a friend that was 30 min late just in case. In the end, I think the keg lasted almost an hour, and there was probably only one pour a minute the last 15 min. I was able to get a pour for me, my fiance, and my friend who was late, and a second for myself about 5 minutes before it kicked. Overall, Exit handled it very well and I will patronize them again because they were so cool.

i keep hearing they were sold out in 20 minutes and there was a line that wrapped around the building! i do know for fact there are other places in the STL area sitting on theirs for special occasions, so there's still hope i can try it!

Really? The line was about 30 at opening. Oh well. And yea, last I heard was that StL city had 4 kegs at 4 accounts, but who knows.

I was talking to the beer manager last night at Butcher and the Boar and he said their distributor (I think he said Dahlheimer) got 5 kegs of CBS. Sounds like we will see a few more of these events.

I assume they'll get one and Republic as well?
