I almost always drink good shelf beer. Being in Denver has its perks.

HA! To be honest, that is one of the beers I am planning to use for my shelf beers :grinning:

I realize "shelf beers" is a bit of a misnomer, but I just mean beer that comes in six packs or cases and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. An 'everyday beer' if you will

Something you can easily get and isn't too expensive. In other words, not-whalez, bro.

    Rather often
I have a good selection of good standby beers that I like to drink. I always make sure that I have Shiner Bock and Sam Adams available in some form.

I'm looking at Odell IPA, Odell Porter, Dry Dock Vanilla Porter and Backcountry Breakfast Stout for some local options

Probably half or more of my beer purchases are by the case, so besides shelf beer, I also buy floor stack beer, industrial rack beer and palletized beer.

Odell needs to get of their duffs and send some beer to Illinois. Very good shelf beer and my go to in CO. We get Ska, Dales, Breckenridge, Avery and Great Divide. Breckenridge is all lame duds. The rest of them have some quality gems.

Beer found on the shelf, not hidden behind the counter and obtained via secret handshake and a down-payment on the house.

Never. The only shelf beer in my house is used in my bidet.

70% shelf, here. For most of spring and summer, I stick to fairly standard fare like Schell's, Leinenkugel, Sierra, etc. Once fall and winter roll around, I'm more willing to throw some money around on hard to finds and things to put in the basement , and it's more like 15-20% shelf at that point. As others alluded to, I'd consider shelf beer easy to find and affordable, most importantly. Putting down 10 bucks or more for "just" a 4/6 pack is normally splurging, for my budget at least, but once the stouts come out to play that budget goes out the window.

I'll generally have my good old macro lagers as it gets very hot here, and sometimes pull out a new beer to try. In fairness, by sometimes I mean more like once or twice a day.

Before I vote, does Hop Drop and Roll count as a shelf beer? It's my everyday beer now.
