The idea is to have fun, enjoy some cellar beers we have been holding and enjoy great food and companionship. That's it. We all get goofy in the dark winter hours and this is us, having fun, and doing an event that is really a break even, at best, for us so we can share some cellar gems and explain why and what we do with our barrel program. I hope to freakin God that this is not taken as some Dbag way to trade beer.

That said, we are going to have a blast and hope the event is taken that way. It's goofy and at well, yeah. It's just beer and although Beer Matters, we really want to just hang out, offer a really special night and share our love of what we do. Make beer, share and drink beer while enjoying great food and conversation.

Plus, everyone gets some pretty cool stuff. We are not in Florida or the Midwest so let's hope for the best. Hope to see you all there.

Now that this is posted, I'm afraid you can expect people packing for the Friday night sleepover. 75 people goes quickly.

Haha, I think the clarification that this is a one-off dinner and not some secret reserve society or something may make this somewhat manageable...or so I hope anyway. I trust Fremont, haven't been to a bad event or anything that even approaches a clusterfuck...so I'm sure if there are more than 75 people at the Troll they'll find a fair way to handle it. Looking forward to it!

Well, a couple years the OP of this thread started another thread, asking the question "Why are there no rare beers from Washington?". Well, about 1,000 replies later, the thread got nuked. There plenty of rarezbro from WA, but OP was looking for trade bait so he could get the walezbro from other places, while most of WA's Rarezbro are quietly released, or draft only.

The crux was that our brewers make beer that equal anything being created elsewhere, but tend to prefer to just put the beer out, as opposed to having a huge release that turns into a shit-show. After about 5 pages, we had pretty well talked it to death. Then a certain local wine and beer blogger joined in, and the thing went nuclear. It got to the point where we were only communicating in Haiku or Limerick.

It was truly a glorious time in the NW forum. Ahh, the good old days.

That's a relief. When I start communicating in Klingon is when I know stuff just got real......

Oh and I'm sorry to everyone for posting the release. Getting a lot of flak but I thought it was news worth sharing.

They retweeted at least one link to it, so it's not a big secret. I think you're good!

Beer from near is a winner
As you have sausage for dinner
    Beer from far is fine
    To drink as you dine
    We're not getting any thinner

I didn't go. I'm still dealing with food poisoning from Cabo and the HHC dinner is the day of my daughter's birthday party.

Still a little intrigue here - I now have a HHC card that expires 12/31/15. The piece of paper i got last night said i got something special when i redeemed my ticket, i guess it was just this card?

I got to the troll at 8:50. There were about 5 people there. It was awesome. Also got a free can of Bonfire out of the deal
