that's funny, although i think the image is intentionally poorly lit in this case

Was there tonight and was told new labels may be out next week on the new bottles of Mayberry. Speaking of which, the latest batch is AMAZEBALLS! Can't wait for it to hit bottles, don't care nearly as much about the new labels.

Also, 'Name Our DIPA' was pretty damn good, too, but that should be no surprise to anyone who knows ESBC.

EDIT: Best name I've heard so far was from someone on FB who suggested "Dockweiler Double Trouble." Especially great considering all their beers are named after local features/landmarks.

Thank god, that means they won't name it Amazeballs.

I agree. I think the other ones are a lot better. I'm sure they probably asked people along the way as a focus group type study, but these don't appeal to me.

Fortunately, I already know I'm a big fan of their hoppy offerings and don't care what the label looks like.

Hate to say it, but I definitely like the old labels more. I can understand wanting "El Segundo" to stick out more on the labels, but surely there was a way to do that without getting completely rid of the old styles.

I'm torn. The old ones looked cheap, messy, and a bit amateurish. These look cleaner and have a cool retro feel, but they also feel a little Disney-fied and tacky. Either way, they make fantastic beer, so it doesn't really matter too much. Plus, I think these new ones will catch the eye of the average consumer more often. They're much brighter and more engaging.

I don't care for the new labels, but I could see how they would appeal to a wider audience.

These are way better just for the fact that you can actually tell what beer it is without going up to it and reading it.

Yes! The previous labels could be difficult to read at times; they were often indistinguishable from one to another.

But these feel like there has been an explosion in the crayon factory and the labels were still in it.

I like the art of the past labels better. I agree, their one color aspect needed changing, but looking at both labels of Mayberry, I feel like something is lost in what looks like clip art on the new one for that "small town" feel.

Just give me the golden juice inside the bottle. Look at the plain looking Pliny label! Look what comes out of that ugly looking bottle. Pure heaven. It not what's on the outside. If it's good, drink it.

totally agree. it's just.. if you'e going to make the effort to rebrand, it's too bad it couldn't be something kick ass.

I guess I've had too many ESBC beers because I have NO PROBLEM telling which is which. Hell, I know 'em just based on the color of the bands on the top and bottom of the labels.
