This is getting to be like Dear Abby around here.
Pretty boring read (probably go to Hell for saying this).

I think both of you guys are dicks lol. The guy literally sent one message asking if the trade was still open and you bombarded him with messages. You didn't get the response you liked, so you try to out him. Also pressuring him to commit so fast by saying you've got 4 others lined up. If that were the case, you should've just went with the next guy and not think anymore of it. Jlandry lied about the reason but who cares? Trade wasn't getting done either way. I've had some lame excuses thrown at me, but the trade was fair and I found another quite easily. Beer trading on here sucks nowadays. But I guess that's what happens when the hobby blows up like it has.

Trade negotiations go south all the time... Especially for the current "whale of the moment". If every butt-hurt trader cries over sour grapes and starts a new thread, there would be probably a dozen every day, if not more.

Lying about the reason for backing out of a trade or not, addresses were not exchanged and no trade request sent or accepted.

There was absolutely NO reason for this thread to exist.

I'm curious if the trade was done with one of the four other people or if that was a lie?

If it's not a firm agreed upon trade with addresses given it's not a trade. The fact he moved on to another better offer probably happens all the time here I'm sure, sucks for the Prop and Vanilla guys, but I can understand how it happens. Don't mistake that the lying part is an acceptable move however, it's not. I'm sure it's a lesson learned.

Seems like a tactic to try to convince him to finalize the trade quick before he changes his mind....Otherwise op could have just closed it with one of the other parties.

Threads like this one is unnecessary! I actually would trade with @jlandry462 more because of this thread and how he replied than the other 2 who expected a lowball offer to go through! This to me is more bullying and trying to ruin a guy and actually very selfish on the 2 posters. Secondly, if @jlandry462 used he would rather do IP, it was more an excuse than lie. Some people don't want to bluntly say, "your offer sucks" and "I won't consider your lowball offer" so they make a pour excuse that when outed, is a lie! I've had people say "just got it done" when they haven't, who cares!

When threads like this pop up & there's been no actual agreement, about 91% of the time both the OP & the other party end up looking shady. And look! Here's another example.

Perhaps people will figure it out? It's not a good idea to start these types of threads.

Lying sucks. Pressuring someone, then trying to trash their rep, sucks. Good luck to all involved.

Fwiw , the other guys ended up not winning the lottery and one decided to go in another direction when I didn't respond for a full day.

I don't blame Landry for pursuing another deal. My beef is that he made a rather lame excuse instead of owning up to it.

He messaged me giving the shipping vs IP argument and then I saw him post seeking CCK. Seemed fairly shitty in light of his message stating he only wanted an IP trade.

    All is fine. He apologized.

    and that's the end.

cleaned up some garbage, but leaving this here for reference.

read it and make your own conclusions about the parties involved.
