I'm sure all the folks who feel we don't bottle enough stouts will appreciate this one!

For the first time in six packs, Carob Stout has been bottled and will be making it's way to a Michigan store near you, starting this week!

Carob Stout is a big bodied stout that receives its distinguishable flavor characteristics from the substantial use of roasted malt, dark specialty grains and ground carob. Cocoa and chocolate-like aromas penetrate from the black depths of this alluring ale. Robust flavors of roasted black coffee mix with the abundant, rich chocolate qualities. As it warms, an ample bitterness from the dark roasted specialty grains and high alpha hops intensifies. The finish is dry on the palate.

Sounds interesting. I'll spring for a sixer just because it's from Short's and it's gotta' be good.

Imperial version was always my favorite of the series, this one is simply a well made chocolate stout.

Having never tasted carob before, I wasn't sure what to expect, but a lot of people seem to agree though that it most closely resembles chocolate while really being its own unique flavor. Excited for this one.

Only Imperial was on at the Anny bash. The other has been on at the brewpub before here or there. Maybe in a bottle last year sometime in a mixed pack as well?

Never bottled before in a 12oz. Last year was Mystery Stout.

Stumbled upon a sixer today without even looking for it. Can't wait to pop one open tonight.

Had this at the brewpub last summer (profile pic is from that visit), and it is delicious. If anyone is on the fence, don't bother with singles, get a full sixer.

I hope Mystery Stout shows up again. One of my favorite Short's beers ever.

Only 1 left in my fridge. Help!

Mystery Stout was a great addition to the winter packs last year. I'd love to have a variety pack with that and Black Chai.

Does anyone remember the four in the 2013 winter variety pack? Mystery Stout, Black Diamond, Gingersnap and...?
