Craft beer drinkers are a fraction (10-15%) of the population. Sales of NA beer account for a tiny fraction (~1%) of over all beer sales. The market for a NA craft beer is so freaking small that it's basically non-existent.

Because no one will buy it. Awful idea.

People already complain about craft beer price as it is. I can only imagine the complaining on craft non alcoholic beer.

That was what I was thinking. If a craft brewery thought a NA beer would sell, they would have made one by now.

Why bother? People who like beer won't drink it, people who don't like beer probably don't like it because of the taste not the alcohol. Those who don't like beer probably gravitate to wine or mixed drinks. Doesn't seem like a good business decision to invest too much time, money or space.

They don't brew low alcohol beer though, they brew regular beer and evaporate the alcohol.

that's not true at all, its still brewed the same as regular beer (which involves a lot of chemistry, I'm not sure why you said that).

From what I've heard, the process is expensive. That said, Brewdog's Nanny State and Erdinger Weissbier Alkoholfrei are two craft options which hit around 0.5% ABV.

I don't understand why they don't make trampolines that you don't have to jump on. Hopefully the trampoline makers will get on that.

Try a Russian Kvass. Very low alcohol content. I had one in NYC and it wasn't bad at all. Doubt there's a big Russian population in MO, but anywhere where there are, I bet you'd find one. Of course, DFH made one, but I assume it became a boozy behemoth with those mad scientists, but I'm not sure.

I'd just like to see more low-alcohol beers, in the 2% - 5% range, that still have flavor and body.

Berliner Weissbier's are generally around the 2-5% mark and most taste delicious (but sour if that's your thing). I recently reviewed Brakspear Bitter which is 3.4% and very tasty - http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/806/4064/?ba=doktorhops in fact you'll find many great English Bitters with both flavour and body - check them out yo

Jester King's Le Petit Prince is the pinnacle of the low ABV beer if you ask me, a tremendous amount of flavor for a 2.9% abv beer.

It was attempted, early in the craft era, with a beer called Firestone NA by the Firestone-Fletcher Brewing Co. of LA, CA - one of the co-owner being the father and father-in-law of the current Firestone-Walker founders. The general thought was they collapsed after the majors came out with their own NA's - AB's O'Doul's, Miller's Sharp and Coors Cutter - so, along with a number of imports and a few surviving US "near beers" like Kingsbury, they couldn't not compete in the tiny NA segment.
