Chicago/South Loop tasting group

Should we assume Gentile's is supplying glassware, or bring our own? We may all want 2 glasses if this 2013/2014 Surly Darkness stands so that we can all do side by side.

 

I can't make the 7th. In San Fran (it's craft beer week)

 

@JNL, it sucks that you won't be able to make it, but you will be in a great place! We will have to make sure that you can make it to the second share.

 

I've never updated one of these google doc's but I'll try when I get home. Planning on bringing '13 BA Behemoth w/Cherry (From the 1st batch in Jan '13) and Bruery Beffudlement

 

Is there a corking fee or anything we have to worry about?

 

I cant make it the 7th since I will be in Vermont (boo hoo for me).
But it looks like there are already plenty of people, so have fun guys!

 

Fridays and Saturdays are near impossible for me, but I'm in on any Sunday- Wednesday tastings.

 

@Immutable_Dusk, no corking fee there, so we are good on that end.

@Farnswurth, that sucks. @JNL, is out of town too. If you guys had to pick a date for the next one, what would work for you guys?

As of now, the only weekend that is bad for me between Feb and April is the weekend of Huna Day (March 13-15).

 

Not too sure. I don't have anything planned aside from the HF trip. But it shouldn't matter too much if we can set the date a few weeks in advance.

But if there really are 14+ people attending, I may just bow out. If its something around 6-7 people, then I would love to join the next one.

 

I'm in on the next one then, I have a Abyss and JW Lee 5 year vertical eating a hole in my cellar looking for someone to share with.

 

I've got Abyss 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. We only need one set for a tasting. Maybe we trade the other for something?

@JNL, that is awesome! Dan from Gentile's is looking for a BCBS 2009 and 2010 for a 07-14 vertical for the group. If you have these or have access to them for trade, please let me know.

 

I have BCBS 2006-2014 (the 2009 i have is a bomber, but they did make a 12oz version too).

There is a ton of stuff I don't have ... check out my WANTS list (although somethings are on there just because I want to drink more than the 1 bottle I have).

 

I have Butte 23-26 as well,
So maybe the next tasting could be a vertical/horizontal tasting.
