NBS BIF #1 hints

Luckily no damage was sustained to my place of residence, for I heard the straining springs of the UPS truck when it came by and walked out to accept delivery of a 21.70 lbs box of beery goodness featuring the following:

4-pk of Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald (I’ve actually had this but only one bottle and am STOKED to have more!)

1 22oz Lavery Belfast Black Ale (A smoked porter from a brewery I’ve never heard of)

1 22oz St Nikolaus Bock from the Penn Brewery ( I have heard of them but thought they were in Philly, not Pittsburgh)

1 22oz Voodoo Brewing Big Black Voodoo Daddy ( I’ve heard of this one, but don’t know much about it)

1 big ass 25.4oz caged-and –corked Weyerbacher Tango (Always wanted to try something from Weyerbacher)

Plus an Edmund Fitzgerald pint glass.


So, to recap: 91.4ozs of beer I’ve never had, plus another 48oz of a beer I had once and really wanted to have more of!
Since I won't be able to join you on the official unveiling NBS, I'll be hitting the first of those big boys a week later, and there should be some robust NBS materiel in my hand for some time to come.

Good GOd DAMN !!!! that is a massive box of tastiness.... I've had a couple of those and have a couple in the cellar, the just outstanding is tasty.....

 

On the real, that was the first bottle I pulled out! Then pulled out Knuckle Sandwich (huge want!). Wasn't expecting a Black Tuesday at all!

 

What better day to crack a Black Tuesday than on New beer Sunday. But damn, that's being generous.

 

So the voodoo is tremendous and the st nick bock, well, is it Brewers reserve? Both are great, but the Brewers reserve is special. Great box @Ozzylizard

As I impatiently await, I am ever so glad that I do not have a porch

 

But now onto my real point here. I'm pretty sure I'm about to be evicted from my apartment for all of the damage done to the front office...

My box from @JNForsyth landed around lunchtime today. I came back to what can only be described as what los alamos testing ground looked like after the first successful test of the bomb. I hope my renter's insurance covers this...

Two (2!) Nugget nectars (with bottle opener)

And last but not least, a crowler (a F***ing crowler!) of Al's grapefruit IPA

So excited for these! I might have to cheat as well since I do have two nugget Nectars...

 

It is the Brewer's Reserve, 2014 vintage. I initially missed that until I was looking up the brewery's page on BA.

The Knuckle is from my hometown brewery. Just released a new bottling (that I didn't know about) a few days befor I went to send, so...I felt lucky.

Today it feels like an Autumn day. Baltimore weather is crazy, if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes. We're supposed to get some snow Tonight/Tomorrow.
