    You know what would be great? If Stone, Lagunitas, and Sierra Nevada all collaborated on an IPA with packaging/a label that looked vaguely reminiscent of the Lagunitas IPA's own. I totally understand and simultaneously hate why Lagunitas went the legal path, but a move like I said above would show the "brotherhood" that the craft brewing community is/should be all about. Taking into account Stone's "ARROGANT" nature though , I don't expect this... ;-)

    Stone definitely got a good one in on Lagunitas. I think Lagunitas gets the last laugh though, considering they make better beer.

    So naming a brewery "kettle and STONE BREWING COMPANY" is the same as suing someone over the use of "IPA"?
    Curious if everyone would think it would be a good idea to have the following brewery names:

    Cat's and Dogfish Head Craft Brewed Ales
    Ship and Anchor Brewing Company
    Mean and Surly Brewing Co.

    Regardless of being small or big, "Kettle and Stone Brewing Company" used the entire name of Stone in their name...added one word. The examples above do the same thing...and I doubt that any of those examples would be "cool" with Anchor or Surly or Dogfish Head. The sosumi IPA thing was a little juvenile but mentioning the whole brewery naming thing is apples/oranges...and shows you're misinformed/clueless. I'm all for david against goliath...but dissing Stone over something that clearly was a poor name choice by some Colorado peeps is just as juvenile.

    I think the Stone SoSumi hoax is a bit childish. Sure they are poking fun at Lagunitas but don't stoop to their level...in the end it's what's in our glasses that matters.
