Chugging Craft Beer

Sometimes on Friday after a long week of work I'll crack open a Bissell Brothers Substance or Maine Beer Lunch and I take a big swig and its all gone… not sure if that is chugging or my mouth is the gateway to the Bermuda Triangle...

 

Yes, I have done it. It's beer, it happens, and the world keeps turning (but with a 90 Minute, I reckon it spun faster... )

 

On a private Facebook beer group, there was a "challenge" going around last year to post a video of yourself chugging a beer and then tag 2-3 other people to do the same. Sort of like the Ice Bucket Challenge for beer drinkers. Anyway, as dumb as it was, I did one. It was a can of Cigar City Jai Alai. Other than that, I don't think I've ever done it intentionally.

 

I'm scared to watch their other videos after this...

 

Shotgunning HT is always a solid idea.

 

Also, has anyone seen the Metal Madman (or whatever he is called) chug videos? Pretty entertaining.

 

I heard a rumor that Shane (@Sixpoint ) will be doing this shortly while blindfolded with his nose pinched and using a Beer Bong.

I sure hope that this event gets video recorded!!

You either did or didn't? You can't "pretty much" crap yourself!

 

I don't think it's silly, especially if it's not done every time. All I drink and ever have drank is craft beer. Never have had a Bud Light or Busch in my life believe it or not. Can't stand em, even when I was young and in high school,my friends made fun of me for spending a "ton" of money on craft beer, haha. But that's not that point. I've done it just for fun with some friends with a DIPA a few times but not very much!

 

If you've never had one, how can you not stand it?

I've gotten roped into playing drinking games while drinking a stout or Porter and ended up chugging it. Very filling hahaha. I would tell the person to fuck off though if it were something rare

 

This thread is idiotic and embarrassing. The video that @chcfan just posted certainly did not help.

 

And yet, you found a way to make it worse. Who cares if some people like to chug craft? More power to them. Also, I first saw that video several years ago on BA.

I've always been one try new beers without thinking to much about what they are. About 10 years ago I stumbled across a 6pack of Hopslam and felt I should try it. Drank the first one and thought it was terrible (my first run in with a really hoppy beer) so I ended up chugging the other 5 just to get through them. Beyond that I always chug my beer at restaurants when I need to leave right away rather than waste them

 

I remember when I tried to chug Ithaca The Creeper. Didn't go well.
