Backyard has been a huge want for a while. Now it just got bigger

 

There has been impact in Michigan. My not-summer 6'er has reached it's desitionation. All of the beers in the box are Wants so my target should be pleased.

 

Normally shipments to my house don't happen until late afternoon or early evening. Thankfully today it showed up early because I didn't work. @rspauldi sent an awesome winter sixer. The only beer in this box that I have had I loved. The others are perfect for me and all are wants. I have been doing a little cooking and baking today and since it is cold here I didn't have to wait for the beer to chill. I jumped right in.

Temptress is a good beer and so creamy.


As good as Temptress was BA Legion blew it away. This is an absolutely awesome beer. Thanks for the box Russ. You nailed it.

Glad everything made it safely and that you found the Beaver Nuggets. They were kind of hidden away in a separate box.

I am not sure what batch the Boxer's Revenge is. I bought it on Black Friday from a liquor store that was doing a cellar sale along with their BCBS release. I know it isn't a recent batch because the cap is plain gold where on all recent bottles JK has used a decorative cap (see the cap on El Cedro). Maybe someone more versed on JK could answer that, maybe @EA728 or @ajaylock ?

-edit: Oh, and I was all set to send the box last Monday but you were away to someplace warm playing golf. Wasn't sure if anyone was around your home to take the box in so I delayed shipping until this week.

 

I always defined square as someone who was uncool or hip to the culture. I will now use it in a sentence "AB drinkers are such squares."

 

My brother was dog/house sitting but I'm glad you delayed because you're timing was perfect considering I have been home since 2:00 drinking beer.

 

We probably did, I've been splitting my attention between work and BA (as usual) but also a sick kid today, so I wasn't really paying attention.

 

Yeah this is really disappointing for me, considering Gandhi's own family not just "didn't mind" but liked the label, I can't fathom why others feel the need to be outraged on someone else's behalf. The level of over-sensitivity to issues like this is staggering. If you don't like the product, don't buy it.

 

Hey, so the day is halfway over and there's no new guys or LIF's?!

Well shit! We can't let this happen. I was waiting until February to run my next LIF in honor of my birthday, but I suppose I'm gonna have to speed up the timeline a bit.
