I’ve had this posted on other forum sites getting an overall consensus of what people are looking for and/or want from a certain product. If there was one piece of information that interested you the most with cider that you don’t seem to get enough information on, ie: food pairing, making of, product information, styles, etc., what would that be?

    Thank for any info.

You mean on the label? I think most people would really like to know the bottled on date.

ABV, bottling date. Additional information such as IBU's and possible food pairings would be alright too.

I'm assuming information on the beer label? (If not, I apologize in advance.)

Agreed, bottle on dates. IMO, in a near perfect world (*Cough* :stuck_out_tongue:) :

Southern Tier (ABV, optimum serving temp, suggested glass):

Weyerbacher - depending on the beer/style, a bottled on and best by:

    Russian River => Batch #

    And ...

    Just wishful thinking. :slight_frown:

I like to think about it in terms of what do I need to know in order to buy this beer right now. So that means a freshness date that i can easily find ( I bought a very stale sixer of ellicottville the other day at wegmans because their date is buried in the design of the sixpack) , see ( I am getting old) and understand ( I would prefer standard day/mo/year format) . Also please tell me what style of beer you think this is ( as the brewer you should certainly be able to do that) and everything else including ingredients and glassware I can look up at home later.

Good info guys and I agree having more information on the bottle would be a plus, it seems to be a popular among most people. Now how about more information from within an Ebook, software or even a website on beer that you might be looking for, but can't find and want to know more about. ie: More information on pairing with IPA, what beer is best for my specific tastes, leaning to appreciate other styles, etc. There's a lot of good info out there on any of these and more, but what information do you want more of that can't be found?

    Thanks for the input

    Brew Date.

Malt, Yeast, and Hop type would be nice, but I don't expect brewers to divulges their recipes.

    1)ABV

    2) specific style, i.e. "American Double / Imperial Ale" or "Russian Imperial Stout", rather than just 'IPA'.

    3) Serving temperature. Pretty important in a warm climate!

    4) Manufacturer / country of origin. I have found that beers brewed under license can actually taste very different from the original, so to me this is pretty important.
