DR 15 game plan?

I feel like there has to be some sort of nostalgia from years past when Divine Reserve releases were a huge deal because Texas had shitawful distribution and very few other worthwhile local breweries. I'll pick up a 6-pack, but I'll eat my hat if it manages to be better than Ten Fidy.

 

Plus an increase in consumers.

 

Ok. But why is it worth rushing to the store when our market seems to be flooded with solid Imperial Stouts these days?

 

Looks like a lot of the HEBs around Austin will get this...already dropping today at a couple it looks like...HEB Westlake has it and there's cases of it just sitting out in the picture.

 

I wonder the same thing about Legion and BA Legion

 

For Houston, it's the home town brewery.

And actually people aren't really "rushing to buy" Legion. And I must say thank God for it.

 

It will still be limited in the clear lake area.

Legion is ok.. I expect this dr15 to be better.. But it's been a long time since I had dr5.

 

15.99 a 6 pack, 7.99 a bomber. Has the price gone up since DR14?

If this is identical to DR 5, I'd take that over regular Legion all day.

I've always heard how great DR 5 was and I will most definitely be picking up DR 15. However when comparing SA's regular lineup to Community's...it's not even close. And Legion is one of their regular beers. And it is better than any of SA's regular, non BA stouts. That goes for all of Communities regular lineup. They are all solid. Can't say the same for SA.

 

Just had community's ipa.. Like it more than Elissa but nah.. I'll take endeavour over anything they make all day every day.. Same goes for boiler room.. Better than anything else in heir regular lineup.

 

Wasnt all that impressed with BB8, hopefully this is better, if I see it on my grocery trip I'll pick it up. Might be easy to pass up if its sitting close to tenfidy or big bad baptist. Texas Distro isn't that bad, well at least its better than it used to be.

 

Also had dr15. Best Texas stout I've had yet.. Regular or limited.

 

My game plan? Walk in to my local Randall's over the next couple of days. Pick up a couple of 6'ers. DR 5 was fantastic so I am excited about this release.

Also, drink what you like. Community or Saint Arnold or Guns and Oil. I love Endeavour, Mosaic, Hop Delusion, Hopadillo, Lost Gold, Rodeo Clown, the list goes on. And because I can get them within a week or two of canning/bottling, I have less and less of a reason to buy out of state IPA's.
