You're overthinking it. Not everyone is going to want every beer/pour every beer. Typically just be required to bring a certain amount of ounces of beer per person. If you're bringing 12oz bottles or 375ml bottles... well then, try to bring two of them so it stretches a bit.

2-4oz pours seems like the average with bigger groups and again, sure you'll have those that tick that have to try it all, but for the most part not everyone wants every beer.

I loath the "show me yours and I'll show you mine" mentality. If you're bringing it to a share, don't covet that mofo. Bring only what you don't care gets drank by folks. I've hosted/been to shares where that one fool dick swings with his cantillion he traded hard for and he gives himself a boss 4x pour and just hands out 2oz pours for everyone else to the point where most didn't even get some. Shouldn't have brought that beer if you didn't want to share.

Nor should you try essentially trading pours and deeming someone else's offering unworthy of getting a pour of yours.

Personally, I have the mentality of the person who brought it opens it/dictates when it's opened. But once it's opened and that person gets a pour, it should be put on the table it's no longer your responsibility and you should pour with others in mind.

Yeah IMO not every person should be able to try every beer there any way. You just need to be ok with not being able to try all of them

I'm interested. Got a ton of beer that needs drinking. But, Valiant doesn't excite me as a venue. I would prefer OotP Pizza, Iron Press or Provisions.

This bugs the shit out of me. It's happened a couple of times where I've given certain almighty people pours of a bottle I've brought, and they just said "Alright. Thanks" and walked away.

If Valiant doesn't work out, Out of the Park Pizza said they would gladly host. No corkage fee. They would just need the details ASAP in order to accommodate.

Both Valiant and Out of the Park sound good. Out of the Park might be more appealing for those who bring a DD since they could amuse themselves beyond the beer.

Ditto on everything you said ... Happened to me once and hated the share from that point on. Everyone just needs to get around where the bottles are, and once one bottle starts to get low, open up another one and start pouring.

Excited for this once it gets set up ... Ive been holding on to so many bottles at the house since I cant drink a full bottle of 16% beer by myself. I mean, I could, but I just wouldnt really enjoy it I think.

I was talking to the owner of The Good Beer Co in downtown Santa Ana and he would be fine having it at his place on a Saturday or Sunday during brewery hours. He said it would need to be capped at 15-20 people because of the room that would be used. There are also a bunch of place to eat within walking distance. Let me know what you guys think and i will post the specifics(date, time, amount of people, etc.).

Please host it at Valiant. Out of the Park Pizza smells like someone urinated all over the dining room.

2/7 doesn't work for me but 2/8 or 2/21 do.

I don't think a single date will work for everyone. Someone just needs to pick a date and go with it. For the people that can't make it, we will just have to do the share again in the future.

Yeah, a monthly share would be nice. Rotating between different venues may be good too, unless one place just seems incredibly perfect after doing it there.

Good Beer Co. sounds like a great option for one. It's a really nice place. For me it's nice because it's really close to my house too.

We could do a night time bottle share. I have a store, Pearl Street General in Laguna Beach. Big enough, we could do a party next to the beach. Place is walking distance to bars. I know it's not centrally located, but there isn't a finer place to enjoy craft than Laguna Beach.
