Does anyone know how you can tell with batch of a SARA brew I have being that I cannot find a bottle date?

    Example:

I have a bottle of West Ashley from the November release. I know it was bought then because a family member got it for me, but for informational purposes I'd like to know batch info.

    Cheers!

I appreciate the response. This is useful info, but still, is there anyway to tell bottle date? I see some etching on the top if the bottle. Does that mean anything?

with the exception of Cask 200, that is labeled with batch numbers on the back - knowing the date it was sold is about the only way to know batch number. There are a few other subtle clues like on earlier Bernice batches with a red dashed border on the label, and some of the 16e bottles have a different/rough label feel.

posting here will almost always get a response with a date, or batch - as above

    Thanks guys.

I have two bottles left to identify. I have a Maiden Fields and a Winter Garde, both from their most recent release.

    Cheers.

winter garde is batch 2 and was released just last weekend
if the maiden is also latest, then it is batch 3 from the same halloween release as Ashley batch 6

you need to tell whoever you are trading with to start writing batch numbers on them for you  Just tell them to ask at the brewery when they pick them up, one of us will tell them.

The person picking these up for me (relative) is very new to the craft beer scene. Mostly they enjoy buying me world class beer in their backyard and sending them out my way. I'm working my hardest to convert them and your beer is making it VERY easy.

    Cheers!

Does anyone remember the date of the second-most recent release of Weet Ashley? I feel like it was in November 2014, but that period is all blurring together
    .
Also who wants to start a Google Doc to chronicle SARA batches?

While drinking SARA bottles at SARA this weekend, I made note of a regular pulling out a bottle and looking at the hand written date on the bottom of the bottle. Seemed very wise and is something I'll be doing henceforth.

Or you can just by Nona's blend, and each one has it's own number. :stuck_out_tongue:

sorry, yes that is what I was talking about - a few of us have been putting together a doc that has the release dates/batches etc. of everything bottled.
everybody has there own way - write it on the bottom, write it on the label somewhere, or my own personal method - big 'ol piece of blue tape on the neck so I can see it in the cellar without having to pull every bottle
