Once we hear some details about bottle counts, anyone that wants a proxy can hit me up. First come basis

Not a lot of assholes in the whole beer scene, at least that's what I've seen, and I know I'm not the only one. Love the whole "pay it forward" mentality, and I think a lot of people feel the same way so they're open to help people out because they know that someday they'll be the ones who need a bone thrown their direction. It's a fun time to be a beer enthusiast, in terms of beer obviously, but also in terms of culture/community.

Let's make sure to keep it that way!

Olde Hickory's website is saying approximately 7,000 bottles. If you could snag me a bottle I'd gladly hook you up with some RVA brews you may be interested in and I can get my hands on.

I also hate to be "that guy," but would love to be able to snag a bottle from someone here. Don't necessarily have a ton to offer since I'm also local, but would love to work something out.

If the bottle count is really 7000 I would imagine this reaching distro in a limited amount. I highly doubt more than 500 people are going to go to the release and buy up a case each. Otherwise, it may stick around at the brewery for a couple weeks. I've been wrong before.

I'd agree unless OHB keeps a solid number of bottles for themselves (I have no inkling that's what they're thinking). I think BASC only saw around 500-600 people or so and I don't see the first release from OHB drawing similar numbers. Unless there's a lot of people really eagerly awaiting their first bottle release.

That is reassuring. I cant make it to Hickory early in the day for the release, but can pass through that afternoon. The bottle release experience and generosity from this forum is very encouraging

And from what I hear the bottle share is why most people go. The bottle release is just a side note. Not that BASC is a bad beer by any means.

If anyone from Eastern NC is going and could snag me a bottle, please let me know! Even if it does hit distribution, it won't make it to Greenville. My only hope is that Bestway gets some as I might be in Greensboro the following week.
