I't's going to age a lot slower in the fridge than in the pantry/cellar.

Yah and be careful with aging in a fridge that is used for food. TOO cold and ******s aging process.

Pantry/cellar is too warm for a hop forward stout. Those hops will turn the beer and you'll have that all too familiar broken hop oil rusty taste.

Craigslist it and find a cheap wine fridge you can set to 45F-55F

I loved this on draft @ Downtown Saucer yesterday afternoon and liked it slightly less out of the bottle last night. Seemed a bit thinner/more carbonated/more bitter out of the bottle. But overall a very good imperial stout. Full-bodied (chewy & tooth-coating), great balance between sweet/roast/bitter, and very drinkable for 10.1%.

Easily my favorite Divine since 9, and probably my favorite ever Saint Arnold beer after DR9, too. (I loved DR5 but never tried it fresh; my first fresh Divine was 6). Would LOVE to see this become a seasonal release -- Houston is crying out for a top-notch, regularly-released imperial stout.

I should have emphasized that I have a beer/wine fridge but thanks for the concerns guys

This is so good. I really want to know why Saint Arnold can release such great beers in their divine reserve series and BB series, and keep their regular lineup so.....average. Dont get me wrong i enjoy a fresh Elisssa, and their beer, but i believe they need to spice up their year rounds to be more exciting. Its clear they have the talent.

The Icon beers have been good too, but I agree with your overall point

Weird, they win numerous awards for their 'average' beers.

I just picked up a bomber for $8.39 at the HEB at four points in Austin. Hamricks in Cedar Park supposedly has it according to their Twitter.

I had one last night. It's a good stout, but did anyone else think it was a bit mild for a 10.1% stout? I just didn't get as much as I would have liked from the aroma or flavor. Compared to TenFidy or Founders RIS, it was just lacking a bit. Still a very solid local stout though.

Agree it is a little bit thin for 10.1 but still enjoyed it

Walked into HEB Buff Speedway and grabbed a sixer....

Tried it last night I thought it was pretty good and really liked the smokey undertone that blended with tht e hops

This is great! It has the best mouthfeel of any stout produced in the state, not too sweet, and the dark chocolate goes on forever. Probably the best non BA stout the state has produced outside of Sputnik. Legion is good, but it's clearly not on this level IMO.

My game plan was walking into a store and buying a 6 pack. Opened 1 tonight and thought it was fantastic. Might buy another 6 pack.

Went and grabbed my sixer today only to catch the flu. My buds are shot, guess I'll have to wait a little longer.
