Short's 2014 Production

    Short's became the third leading craft brewer in the state of Michigan in 2014 for barrels of beer produced with 34,443. Short's jumped over New Holland's 32,774 barrels. That's pretty doggone impressive considering they only distribute in Michigan. Even more impressive is that so many of Short's beers don't stay on the shelf for very long. I know I'll do my part to increase their 2015 sales.

    Congrats to the Short's team! That is quite an accomplishment especially considering all of the great breweries in this state. Sean, I'll see you at Peter's tomorrow afternoon!

    Short's > all Michigan breweries.

    I may not have said that before Hop Cat Detroit's opening, but after having so many great beers there, well... they deserve it.

    Short's got me hooked on the craft beer scene. I think I bought 90% of the "limited" releases last year. :wink:

    I'm hoping they have some decent representation at the Ann Arbor Hopcat opening next month. As already stated, Short's is a damn fine brewery.

    I think Short's is the truest Michigan brewery there is. The fact that they don't distribute outside of the state, with the volume they do is mind blowing. I'm proud to have done my part personally and professionally to help this movement. The fact they release so many beers with the consistency they do is innovative and unique. Plus, the people that work for them truly care. I can say I've dealt with every big brewery in Michigan and by far the shorts staff is the kindest, assertive and knowledge I've ever dealt with. You're a business/person to them not a #.

    Good for them! I got the opportunity to visit them last summer and had a blast. Really fun visit.
