Any thoughts on the new batch of Melrose?

Got 3 bottles yesterday. Haven't had it yet. Will do so on my day off this coming weekend. I heard it has sold out at BWSB. Should be at some of your locals.
Anybody know if they are doing growler fills of Melrose @ BWLB? Hop Ramen growler fills? They should be on Melrose.

Anyone see this hit shelves in the LA area yet? I work in Burbank and would love to pick some up! Btw, if anyone who goes to these releases regularly would like to become a Beachwood proxy for me at each release let me know! I'm a reserve society member and would offer stuff from there to trade for or just pay with cash. I love Beachwood's stuff but it's hard to make it out to Long Beach for each release.

Really good! I had it on cask with simcoe flowers last night and it was quite excellent. The last batch on draft may have been better, though. Also, the Seal Beach location ran out bottles late afternoon yesterday :/

Wow, if you're going down to Beachwood LB soon, make sure to grab a pint of Alpha Supreme. Seriously great nelson forward pale ale.

I completely agree. Went in last night thinking I'd fill hop ramen and ended up with alpha supreme growler. So good and a little more sessionable for super bowl.

Picked up two bottles of Melrose today and already had one--couldn't resist. Did anyone else think this batch tasted a little buttery?

I like my Beachwood IPA's. And their $8 per bottle price.

Hey UK, you get to try the 3 new beers (FV7/FV8/FV9)? I don't visit BWLB much these days. Waiting for it to tap at SB. And it should be this week from what I hear.

I had all three last week. I'd rank them FV9, FV7, and FV8. The regular IPA fv8 was kinda meh (Beachwood meh, which is still better than 95% of IPAs out there). 7 and 9 were standouts. I mean, Sirachi Ace/Nelson Pale ale? YES!

Same. FV7 was my favorite. I love a good pale ale. FV9 was really good too. FV8 was good but kind of meh

Yeah, I had all three and walked out with a growler of FV7. Good stuff.

FV9 was my favorite / That hops of Fury is not a joke though coming in at a 11% ABV.

Did a flight of FV7, 8, 9, and HOF. Came home with a growler of FV9. Agree that 7,9, and HOF were good. Was less stoked with FV8.

Had Alt(ernate) Reality the other day and really liked it. I feel like Julian and Ian's attempts at more of the old world styles have been really well done and some of my favorite sessionable beers from them. This, GlenlongBeach, Full Malted Jacket, Control Malt Delete, and Hops of Brixton are nice easy drinking malt-forward beers
