Sierra Nevada - River Ryed IPA

    Looks like Sierra Nevada will be releasing a new Rye IPA called River Ryed in 12oz cans in the near future. Can label is below and the description reads, "This hop forward beer features intense citrus and herbal hop flavor balanced by the peppery spice of rye for a dry and delicious end to a rafting journey."

    No word on release date and distribution details at this point, but since it appears this will be brewed and canned in both Chico and Mills River, I would assume this will be across their footprint.

    Sounds good. I love RyePAs. I hope it's better than Ruthless was though. I don't know if I just had a bad bottle or what, but that was the worst SN beer I have ever tried.

    Hope they don't get rid of Ruthless...one of my favorite SN beers

    Suhweet, another SN IPA. Hop hunter was pretty darn good IMO.

    6.0 ABV. (Rotate & zoom label). Good in my opinion, but some will disagree. 12 oz cans is also a good thing.

    oh no! it's a departure from their "traditional labels", whose label did they copy? :wink:

    I recently just had a second kid and had to change up the beer budget a ton. I have to say sierra is making this a lot easier with all these new offerings and solid mixed 12 packs. Can't wait yo try this and hop hunter. I have a nooner pilsner for tonight. All this makes this tight budget a lot easier.

    I don't mind that they changed up the label a bit, but that "River Ryed" font is horrible. They won't have to worry about copying anyone because no one else would wanna use it.

    Yeah. I figure something had to be wrong with mine. I never checked the date I don't think. It was given to me by a friend who didn't want it, so it was probably old. I would give it another chance if I ever saw it.

    I really like Ruthless as well, but I think putting it in the Spring mixer is like the Kiss of Death. :slight_frown:
