Founders Cellar Raid 2015

'13 and '14 Backwoods today.

Successful week. Tried CBS 2 nights, picked up '13 and '14 KBS bottles and '13 Backwoods bottles

Did ask what they were doing tomorrow and she said "I don't think we are doing anything different". Not sure if that means more Backwoods and Imperial (which is how I took it) or if they would have KBS again since it is on the tap list for tomorrow. Not sure if she was in "the know" or not.

 

Anyone know the taproom's policy on kids/minors? Haven't been to Founders before and the wife wants to come which means our son will be tagging along as well. I know the typical deal is no minors after 8pm...I'll be cutting it close to around 7:30 if traffic isn't bad.

Also, stupid question but have they been tapping CBS at certain times or has it been offered for the entire day?

I would call and check, but I have a friend that has taken his children tells me 10:00PM is kiddy curfew

 

Killing would be a bit extreme, but it does smell real nice!!!!!

 

Surly you would be willing to drive to GR before killing yourself..right? All you have to do is come to founders today or tomorrow, much better than killing yourself, and you will get to taste it, not just sniff it.

 

Have taken my kids there but it was for lunch and it was not a special release day.

 

If I remember correctly, it's a 9PM cut-off times for minors.

Let's be honest, no one should have their kids in a bar past 9 regardless of rules. Who are these people that a rule like that has to be made? Hah

 

Driving in tomorrow morning from NWI. I imagine it'll be busy on a Saturday. Can anyone give me some good parking suggestions?

 

I never have cash or change on me so I couldn't use the meters but found a spot behind founders in a office lot or city lot(kiddy corner from the mobile) and just walked up the hill to founders.. a passerby said people can park there and not get towed.. not sure if that's true but I didnt

 

Man, that tap list looks super crappy today. I feel bad for anyone who's there.

Which is why I mentioned I'm driving in from NWI. I can only get there so early.

 

I don't think Founders will be overly busy tomorrow. May be wrong, but locals have had their fair shot at CBS this week. There is a parking lot South of Founders new construction project. It has room for about ~125 cars. That being said, most businesses around Founders are closed on the weekends and I usually park in their lots outside of business hours (As long as it isn't specifically stated). I know the business directly south of Founders usually has spots open up by the office. Have parked there multiple times without issue.

 

You would be surprised, 8pm is pushing it for me with a kid in a brewpub setting but there are some crazy parents out there...

 

I'd be willing to bet the over on that.

That's loser talk man. Where's the dedication?

 

Pardon the obvious and unnecessary post, but CBS is one of the best beers I've ever had. God bless god, bourbon, and maple syrup.
