Drinking it right now and yeah - someone truly abducted the cherries from this beer. Oh and the vanilla. I was kind of excited to drink this one but I must say I am a bit disappointed. Anyone else have this one?

If you are honestly not feeling it. Write a review about why you are not feeling it. Threads like these are a waste of space and time.

Kindly remember that respecting beer means respecting the folks that drink it and their opinions !
    Good post Jim!

I have been on a few weeks so I have to ask, is it too early to call someone a d-bag? You know, the people that have nothing better to do than jump on someone for posting their opinion of a beer in a f*cking forum titled Beer Talk? Please advise because I'd like to tell some people to go blow for stating my post is a waste of space. Really? Do you live in here man? How much time of your valuable life did I actually waste? Did I take time away from your Dungeons and Dragons game with friends? Sorry man. You clearly identified that my post was written with malice. You got me man. Exposed!

Unreal how some of you people are. You don't own the site guys even if you spend your whole day in here. You don't like it, move on to another post or maybe try something else like take a break from World Of Warcraft and take few steps outside.

No reason for the comments. It was a harmless post.

Thanks Nebbie. Just a beer drinker like everyone else man. Love talking beer. I thought it was the most appropriate place for my opinion when looking through the forums. My bad I guess. Geez.

41 year old dude with 3 kids winding down the day. Last thing I need is a gang bang from a couple of people because I posted something in a forum. Just thought I read chat while I drank my beer. Was digging the idea. I am sure there are some things to learn and abide by but this one seemed a bit ridiculous. I don't hold grudges though. Life is too short and it takes a lot more than that to chase me away from a website that revolves around beer. We might have to joust or something.

Take care. I will make an effort to pay better attention to the unwritten rules. ;o)

    Beers,

    Jim

Why do people care? If it was really a waste of time that you wouldn't post. Anyway, get a life.

I've never had anything from Pipeworks, least not that I can remember, the idea of cherry truffle sounds pretty good to me, would love to try it! What's the price point per case?

When someone attacks you here, remember, 90% of the time, there isn't anything wrong with the person being attacked. Normally, the attacker has the problem. Like bullies. They weren't socialized properly by their parents, they are having a bad day, or...dare I say, they are really short. However, sometimes I am wrong...

It was like $11 for a 22 oz Bomber. Actually they make some good beers. Crimson Snapper is their new hot one. This is one of several in their "Abduction" line. They make a Coffee Abduction, Mint Truffle, etc..

I was shocked how little cherry it had. But as we all know it's just one man's opinion. Got better as it warmed up but still not very cheeryful. Again, just pointed it out because it's in the title. If you bought a beer called Watermelon Reunion I would hope that it tasted a little bit like watermelon. Or if you bought a McRib and it didn't taste like BBQ ribs. Never mind terrible example.

This is BA, trolls are gonna troll unfortunately. Don't sweat the d-bags that pop up in these forums jim, they can't help themselves.

As for the cherry abduction i thought that the first batch was better, more cherry and chocolate. I never really got much vanilla from either batch i tried.

It's interesting there is quite a bit of that (cyber bullying) going on here, but moderators won't do anything about it. Yet, what they will do well is erase posts that make sense and are sincere.

Yeah guys I appreciate the cool posts. I said what I felt. Not calling for their nuts in a guillotine or anything. Like I said I just wanna talk beer. And to be quite honest I scrolled past many threads that just didn't sound like anything interesting. I didn't stop and hate on them. Just shop around and add comments where I had something to add. That's the fun part. No harm no foul. Like I said I love beer and really love talking about it. Thought this was the right forum.

We can let it die. Last thing I want is some thread going on and on ripping people. It's over. No big deal.

But I will say that when you do run into a few people who are a bit harsh and make you question the website all it takes is a few good guys like some that responded here to keep you going strong. Much appreciated. It was never gonna be last call but I did consider changing bars.

Have a great weekend everyone. Be safe as it can be a crazy on the roads Sunday.

The very first batch of cta was done with cherry puree and from what i read they weren't that happy with the flavor, it had a much stronger tart cherry flavor and more chocolate. I don't know if they decided to go with whole cherries this time but the cherry flavor was lacking a bit until it warmed a little imo.

As for pipeworks as a whole, a great brewery overall. Their ipas/dipas are very good, if not underrated. Even some of their weirder experimental beers are mostly good, with a few misses here and there.

Call me a Homer if you will but they're one of, if not my favorite brewery overall.
