I find myself with a four-pack of both Dirtwolf and Hop Ranch from Victory. This week was my first time trying both, and I'm glad I did. Before tasting, I noticed how close the ABVs are to each other (8.7 vs 9.0% respectively) and wondered why a brewery would choose to compete against their own beer like this. I also find it funny that Dirtwolf is labeled as a Double IPA and Hop Ranch is labeled an Imperial.

After tasting, I understand the market for each of these beers. They are incredibly different in a fantastic way. I prefer the Dirtwolf myself, but they are both great. So now I'm left wondering if any other breweries are doing this. I'm sure there are plenty of places that make more than one DIPA, but I can't think of one that makes two equally great yet vastly different versions. Is there anyone else out there who does it better?

HF Abner and Ephraim are terriffic brews, I don't think Hill actually labels them as Dipas but imo they are.

For combination of quality and quantity - you can't beat Knee Deep.

Also shoutout to Boneyard: Notorious + Hop Venom = <3

Sure it's not a straight dual, but if you're looking for a single, double, triple, Sixpoint Bengali, Resin, and Hi-Res; you're set. Granted, you may have a dead palate after the fact but who cares...

I enjoyed the combo of Toppling Goliath Imperial Golden Nugget and Twisted Galaxy this weekend.

I've also had King Sue and Sosus.

Barley Brown's : Chaos, Head Shake, Forklift, Tank Slapper, Super Slapper, WFO, Allocation (collab w/ Boneyard). Pick two, and they'll go toe-to-toe with any brewery.

I throw in for the two Victory DIPAs because you can't beat the quality with the low price.

Green Flash makes a couple, Great Lakes, Oskar Blues. There are a bunch that make more than one tasty DIPA.
