Just saw an interview with Obama on TV from the White House kitchen where they showed a fermenting carboy and the White House beer ready for tasting, you can say what you want but what a country....

In the interview on NBC, Obama cited Washington, and so did the video (~ 3:18)...

That interviewer barely let that brew touch her lips and then changed the subject immediately. I think it looked like Obama wanted to talk more about the beer. Very cool to see

As far as I've heard, there hasn't been anyone who's brewed at the White House itself (Washington brewed and distilled at Mt. Vernon I believe).

To paraphrase the great Vince Lombardi on this Super Bowl Sunday, there are no Republican Beer Advocates or Democrat Beer Advocates, there are only Beer Advocates. One thing I love about this website is that it's one of the few places on the internet where I rarely come across angry political rants. Let's keep it that way!

Washington never lived in the White House, so that settles that. John Adams was the first prez to occupy it, I think it was in 1800 when construction was finished.

This is all from a few years back. Northern Brewer and some other places created kits with the recipes. I think the White House actually released the recipes they used too.
