I picked these up at a local thrift store Saturday....all for less than $5

    Seems like a nice deal.....

Anyone else have much luck picking up cool beer / brewery logo glasses at your local thrift stores?

    My collection is growing.......

didn't open , not sure if its on your end or mine, but I always try to imagine the history a well worn beer glass, who held what they drank, that sort of thing!

But yeah....$5 for a 5L German stein. I've had decent luck.

I've gotten a bunch of weizen glasses, tulips and snifters for no more than $1 each.

I found a set of 12 3oz snifters at goodwill for $2. Perfect for shares.

I've had a lot of luck at my local thrift stores. I've even found some brewery stuff like Duvel tulips, Sam Smith Pints and such. Rule of thumb: always check the thrift store before you pay more for something.

I don't know what thrift stores are like near you, but this kind of glassware is almost always on the shelves here. Often it's more than a dollar (oh god, TWO dollars), but seriously...with what I see at the stores here, it makes me wonder why anyone would buy new glassware.

I find the occasional New Belgium tulip or a festival tasting glass but nothing exceptional.

I've probably got several hundred logo-ed beer glasses, and I'd guess less than 10% of them cost me more than a buck. For me, paying more than a dollar for what is essentially a promotional item is the joke.

Never thought about the local thrift store for glassware. However, I have had good luck at antique malls. Just the other day I scored a couple of Sam Adams perfect pint glasses for $2.00 each.

You'd be surprised what excellent glassware one can find sitting on shelves at thrift stores/second hand stores. Most of my collection was purchased from anywhere between 25 cents and $2.

I've checked a few Good Wills around here and nothing more than Miller Lite glasses really :slight_frown:

I get a lot of stuff at the thrift store. They're usually 60 cents a cup. Not all of them are branded but some are. I found a wine glass shaped Hamm's glass recently for 60 cents. I can picture some old soak drinking a pilsner out of it back in the 70s or something.

I've found some cool tulips and globes too.

I started collecting pint glasses from each micro brewery I visited. I have about 30, and I decided to stop.
My brother has done the same and he has about 150.

I always have really good luck at the thrift stores. I have scored tons of fancy snifters and glasses, as well as a few brewery glasses. I always like to think that I am giving new life to a beloved brandy snifter or tulip glass from generations past.
