getting ready for an out-of-state rollout?

 

Release party in AZ this Wednesday. Looks like the whole GF distro footprint is getting it at once. Gonna be interesting to follow the reception.

 

seriously. Guess I'll get my alpine fill now.

 

Translation: GF made us buy a bunch of their beers in order to get the Alpine beers.

 

Kegs of Duet, Nelson and Hoppy Birthday should be hitting NYC in the next month or so. Heard directly from a distributor receiving said kegs.

 

Funny, but I think Alpine came along for the ride in Green Flash's East Coast push.

I'm now seeing Alpine as a "brand" of Green Flash.

 

Like I said. Changes.

 

But that's what happens when companies get acquired. And actually, most breweries consider their beer names "brands".

 

Thinking of it as a simple acquisition shows an ignorance of the personalities involved. To put it another way, nothing is happening here nor will happen that Pat doesn't want to happen.

 

Not saying you're wrong, but I wonder if you'll still think that 12 months from now. Or six months from now.

 

Not ignorance. Just business.

 

So he actually got a refund?! Definitely deserved the apology he got but a refund is still baffling to me.

 

Did I miss something?

 

It's just damage control. I'm sure it will not be normal policy to give a refund in these situations.

 

You do know those guys are all friends, right? Chuck Silva is probably one of the few people that could *be* a friend with Pat, from what I can tell. LOL

 

Someone posted a picture on another forum of Pat emailing him an apology, explaining that he had just gotten a few emails about people trying to scam bottles, and telling him he'd process a refund. People will read into the apology whatever they want, but kudos to Pat for being willing to reach out, apologize, and make it right.

 

Friendship in business only goes so far, I have a wealth of personal experience on that one. I don't doubt that everyone has good intentions going into the deal, but the fact remains that Green Flash now owns Alpine, and Green Flash will always act in Green Flash's best interest. As long as GF's best interest aligns with Alpine's best interest, everything will be hunky dory.

Looks like changes are already happening in alpine. Do you think greenflash made him do it?
