I tried to find a picture of the logo on Bing but I just got a bunch of ****, so.

$2.29 single poured into a shaker pint. Bottled 12/18(?)/14 and poured 2/3/15.

Appearance: Pouring down the middle slowly gave about two fingers of a soapy, yellow-tan head. This beer is a very hazy red-orange-brown color. Tons of lacing at the start.

Smell: Definite Belgian yeast straight away that gives off the usual banana/clove vibe. Under that there's a moderate level of hoppiness, layered on top of a slight coppery smell (could well be from my glass, even though it's clean) and maybe a trace of alcohol. Strange but very inviting aroma here. One whiff I feel like I'm drinking a red, the next I'm guessing Witbier, and again I'm thinking a sort of pale ale.

Taste/feel: Well that's just strange and delicious -- like the smell, it's got a lot going on. My very first thought as I took my first sip was... bubblegum? The kind of bubblegum flavor you (or at least I) sometimes get in a Dunkelweizen. That flavor quickly turns into an awesome blend of the clove and banana flavors from the yeast, loads of malt, a slight amount of alcohol, and then the hops that deliver a sudden kick of resinous bitterness at the back of the tongue. The bitterness lingers, and there's just a slight hoppy flavor and maltiness there with it. The feel is great: about medium bodied with a creamy feel, and the carbonation is moderate to high, which really makes everything "pop."

Great beer that needs to be tried.

    4.23/5 (+6.8% rDev)

    Cheers, BA. :sunglasses:

last year in indianapolis, additional cases started hitting select locations around May/June(?) Anyways, cases just sitting on the shelf at whole foods. I was able to get BCBS and BCBBW 4 packs. i was never given a good explanation for why this was. the old "found a pallet" in the warehouse.

Some Brews are just worth the wait..or is it weight?

This brew got me thinking.. I dislike how popular the beer scene has gotten since 2011. I remember all the Box Brews from Firestone Walker used to be shelf turds... Now they're on One Bottle Limit status. Which I dig Limited purchases, but WTF? I was able to grab one of these off the shelf and grab another a week later because they were collecting dust. Oh well, signs of the times I guess.

If it's an Anniversary Brew...do it! I don't believe in aging them, they're best enjoyed fresh! Well IMO of course.
