Well folks, I started my evening by drinking and reviewing some Sixpoint Mad Scientists #10, a pale ale made with spruce tips. And it was damn tasty (and just great for this hot-ass weather in the NE, which admittedly I love).

Flying to Brazil on Sunday for about a month, so over the next couple of days I need to work through a few beers that really ought not to wait until August to drink. Namely: Le Freak, Farmhouse Hatter, and Gandhi-Bot. Looking forward to all of it!

What's in your glasses, and what are you looking forward to for the weekend?

How's it going tonight? I had a long hot day of gardening and disc golf, and thought that tonight is as good a night as any to open the main bottle from a trade that came in today:

Started earlier as I jumped out of work early today.. It's HOT OUT, like 105* today, so I'm hittin' it hard since I'm staying inside.

Terrapin Monks Revenge, Belgian IPA- Really tasty!!!

Then decided to check my Imperial IPA hopped only with Columbus and see how it's coming along. Pretty good!

More to come.. I'm thinking about going all Founders tonight after this.

Infected...with awesome. Only slightly infected but it is still highly drinkable. I figured it would only get worse sitting in my refridgerator.

As admittedly arbitrary as the LNBA rules/conventions are, this is awfully early. Eh, whatever.

Brutally hot here in CT today, so when I went to happy hour I couldn't stomach the thought of any dark or strong beers. But I did go for some Sixpoint Sweet Action as well as a new IPA from our local boys at New England Brewing called Fuzzy Baby Ducks. Absolutely delicious if you like the raw power of Citra hops, though it was almost too much for me!

Trying this tonight. I'm guessing if it was fresher it would be even better. (more oak than hops, needs more hops)

Summertime backyard drinking in 90-something heat calls for something a little more refreshing. Times like this make the pain in the ass that is home ownership a little more palatable

A fine choice! Just opened an '09 Old Stock recently and it was certainly a memorable beer.

    Cheers!

Midnight Sun's - Sockeye Red...meh...pretty faded and non-hoppy for an IPA.
