    Delayed #VBS from last night.

Hear they had issues with the first few runs of cans, finally found some with a date code after the issues were resolved. Solid extra DIPA that will probably end up as a standard "extra" in boxes I send out for a while.

Trust me, my wife thanks you for not sending a glass.

The next Horizontalhood will be up as soon as I figure out what brewery I want to do. I have an idea, but need to check on availability.

    Hey Cody,

    I sent you a 13' - you sure one of those isn't a 13?

Definitely a good problem to have either way.

Did it have the official #theBAformerlyknownasI_BYE_MI_BEER year number sticker on the bottle cap?

But if you sent it a while ago, that could also be one of the already consumed ones...

LOL - Not sure - if it's stamped really clear I may not date - I often don't date GI - I guess I should, you know for consistency:wink:

I was thinking of my 1st Michelada, it was in Manzanillo and beer was Corona. Many years ago, mid 90's.

It was put in front of me without ordering it, I was blown away. Was this my first Gose or Sour?

Here is the recipe (my version did not have soy sauce)
    12 oz beer
    juice of 1 lemons
    2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
    1 dash soy sauce
    1 dash Tabasco® sauce
    1 pinch black peppers
    salt

I actually liked that beer in the day. Actually, all of those Michelob "craft" variants in the early 2000's when I was working for a Bud distributor were what set me on the expensive and fattening beer drinking path I am on today. And Zeigenbock.

You guys got me reminiscing... I can very vividly remember myself and a couple friends riding our bikes 2 miles at night to the "corner store" in the "hood" to the only place we knew that would sell to 14 yr olds. We loaded up our back packs with OE, Special Brew, Colt 45, and Cisco for $1.50 each. Those were the days! Hell, I didn't get into craft until 2 1/2 years ago..

I think I like these guys, yet to have any of their beers (@devilfluff is gonna change that this weekend I believe) but it seems like they are doing pretty cool stuff and making great beers.

I think that was your first Michelada, and while it may have been salty/sour, that doesn't make it a gose or even a "sour beer", that drink is a "beer cocktail". Sour beer is brewed/developed to be that way, gose specifically with salt and coriander.
