I live in KC MO and Lagunitus 22oz seasonal beers are about $3.99 a bottle! I always stock up on Little sumpin Wild or extra, Hairy Eyeball, Undercover, Brown shuga....etc when they come out cause they are so damn cheep. What other craft beers do you guys see that can compare in quality to the price?

I think Deschutes has some great beers that you should be able to find for $8.99 a 6-pack!

They do make some great beers, but their limited releases like Stoic or the Abyss are $15.00 a bottle.

when it comes to consistent ABV+quality+availability (like my corner gas station) vs. price its nearly always Lagunitas here in my end of California as well. bear republic used to be everywhere but now the only offering I ever see out here is racer five( god i miss my hop-rod-rye).There is always S/N.. Prohibition ale is exploding around these parts but for some reason there beers dont agree with me the next morning , but while drinking they are generally fabulous. Finally I live about 10 minutes from the dust bowl brewery so if i go there the prices arent bad....but if I buy from a store the prices are absurd...go figure.

I don't know how the hell Lagunitas can put out good beer cheap but nearly all of their beers are above average. A six pack of little sumpin wild 8.9abv is $7.99 to $8.99. I don't think they are the best brewery in the world but for the money they may be!

Sierra Nevada, Bear Republic, Deschutes and Lagunitas are actually really affordable crafts. and these are 6-packs. of course Stone IPA, 22oz I've seen go on sale for $2.99 at some stores I frequent.

Agreed...Deschutes has some great beers but the regular seasonals (22oz) are in the 6-8 range and the limited are great also but pricy.

I would tend to agree. In terms of value and price point, Lagunitas has that on lock down. I don't think any brewery can top them in that area. Sierra Nevada is amazing and not too expensive, but they can't even top Lagunitas price points. I live in Chicago and the Target near me has every Lagunitas release at an even cheaper price point then said liquor stores. The only release they didn't get was Born yesterday Pale Ale, but that was hard to get every place. Hell, I picked up nighttime Ale for 6 pack for 8.99. That is a killer deal for that beer.

Lagunitas gives a lot of bang for the buck! No one can even come close to the $4 bomber of Hop Stoopid.

Well, a 22 ounce bottle at $4 comes out to roughly $13 for a standard 6 x 12 ounce pack. With that in mind, there are A LOT of quality beers one can purchase at that price point. I'll list some examples from the six-pack format:

    Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier
    Franziskaner Weissbier
    Spaten Optimator
    Palauner Hefeweizen
    Paulaner Salvator
Rogue Hazelnut Brown (believe it! $9.99 a sixer)
    Great Divide Titan IPA
    Anchor Porter
    Ballast Point Big Eye IPA
    Deschutes Black Butter Porter
    Stone IPA
    Odell Cutthroat Porter
    Odell IPA
    Victory Prima Pils

    And many more.....

Now that I've been thinking about it, with regards to some crazy price mistake by a bottle shop, picking up 6-packs of Laguniatas Born Yesterday for $8.99 might be just about the best quality to price combination I've ever had.

Lagunitas, Stone, and Sierra Nevada have some great 'inexpensive' offerings (more so than some of the more local breweries).

    I am on the German side of things too. Use to buy 50 cl bottles here in Spain, which would be something like 17 oz in the US. They usually come fresh from Germany and i drink them no later than 2 months since production (more often than not). These are the converted prices of some of the seasonal beers which i find great in quality but yet affordable in the long term. Maybe not the cheapest ever but i would go lemonade before drinking the likes of Heineken or....buff, San Miguel. I wonder what you think about these prices from across the pond. There might be more brands from Germany in this range but this is a comprehensive sample;

    17 oz bottles

    Hofbrau Dunkel - 1.27 USD
    Franziskaner Weissbier - 1.42 USD
    Konig Pilsner - 1.6 USD
    Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier - 1.7 USD
