I mixed one with a Dorado the other night, which turned out to be pretty tasty. Added some nice sweetness and fruity, citrus hops to compliment the pepper heat.

I am of the opinion that if it needs to be blended with another beer to be decent, it's probably not a good beer

North Loop just got a case of Bourbon County Coffee this afternoon. $9.99 a bottle, two bottle limit. There was still a good amount left when I was there about 10 minutes ago. Said she has no idea why it showed up today or if any other stores may be getting any.

As much as I love BCBCS, there's no chance of me visiting that store for any reason.

What was the now gouging price for these during the original release? ~$17-20 per 4 pack?

I don't remember if they ever had coffee, but they had barleywine at $12.99 per bottle. And they originally priced regular at $15.99 a bottle before dropping it down to $12.99. I work right by them, and I like some of the guys that work there, but their prices are just too high. But I still am a sheep that will jump for BCBCS.

Sorry, was wondering what other stores were charging for BCBCS when they had it in November

I never made it to the total wine stores where you could buy more than one, but when I did snag a single bottle from Big Top, it was $6.99.

As if I didn't backtrack enough above, I will go further: at $14.99 (at South Lyndale, per Twitter), Hopslam is a pretty decent value.

that's a pretty solid deal... Total Wine in BLM is 19bucks a sixer, wth. How can you be the walmart of beer with those prices.

I'm in the area as well and you summed up my thoughts exactly. The price gouging that first time around (and on other releases) is enough to make me tell myself I won't go there ever again. But I missed out on coffee this year, and at $9.99 and 2 bottles, I jumped too. My principles are paper thin.

Yup. I like to refer to him as part pug, part beagle as "puggle" isn't exactly manly sounding. Surly fanboys come in all shapes and sizes.
