I hate having to create this thread, but I also do not want anyone to potentially have a future issue with this member due to the fact they were uninformed about past practices. So here is a little info

I have a pending trade with User JVMeier, was a pretty straight forward trade. Though he was inconsistent at responding back after we agreed on it. I dropped off his box on the day we specified shipping. Made me nervous so when i dropped it i told the shipper(small local shipping store) to hold on to it until i gave the go ahead. I told the member i was ready and asked did he ship. His latest responses were 2 weeks ago ( 7 days after the agreed Ship Day) and he stated

"Hey man yes I shipped! Working for the Army isn't the easiest schedule when it comes to getting this stuff out! But yes it's shipped! Sorry you feel it wasn't quick enough
    My address is ...."

I responded That I understand life comes up and no worries was just nervous and could be please provide a tracking number
And then nothing showed up or responded back to my multiple messages?

Luckily I am not out of anything other than time, but again only stating this so no one else has a issue or has the potential of getting burned by this member!

Just letting the site! Cheers and On!

    "Namaste Bitches"!!

It's not quite clear - did your beer arrive or not?

Huh, seems pretty straight forward unless he disagrees @JVMeier. I appreciate the Army bit and all but that's no excuse for being dishonest.

Nice job Nachos. No bullshitting around, thanks for the heads up.

I too have shipped improperly, had damaged beer due to it, i get things happen or mistakes are made, not trying to call anyone out but I don't want someone to me taken advantage of.

Also to clarify I never received a single message from member after he stated he shipped and nothing ever showed up here either!

I had to read the OP's post a couple of times to understand. Not much else to say other than the usual things people say when happens.

Hopefully this is just a life situation and maybe a mishap with the shipping that can get rectified.

I agree with the statement "things do come up", I also am active duty military, and I will say great communication is the key to success. I've been a day or two late shipping before but as anyone I have traded with can attest to I've always maintained communication. His overall tone just seems off.... and it really don't take longer than a minute or 2 to send a quick message. Hope it works out for you. Cheers!

Sorry, I did my stint too, when your in garrison you work for the most part a normal schedule, no excuse for not communicating. If Army business comes up its planned in advance with notice, so don't try and set up trades. You know in plenty of time what your looking at with regards to movements. Personally I think it's bs glad the guy saved his beer.

Does anyone actually know if JVMeier is even in the military? Anyone douche enough to lie about shipping is douche enough to pull an excuse he thinks is likely to resonate with people.

Stateside duty is as predictable as me going to work everyday, if there's an exception it's known well in advance. I see a beer thief or why hasn't the ops beer Ben delivered? Because he never planned on shipping it.

I suspect that you nailed it. It certainly looks premeditated.

Bummer, sorry you are getting burned. In hindsight looks like a very risky trade, he had no trade history, recently joined and had no posts at all.

You have his address, send him a letter in the mail just so he knows you are trying to not let him get away with this.

Hopefully you actually get your box. I always ask people to ship first with little or no trade history.

Having looked at @JVMeier profile, he has absolutely no trade credentials. He definitely should have shipped first. No way anybody should trade with a guy with no experience here until they had his box in hand.

So I'm understanding this as, the OP's box never left the shipping center, as he suspected something was up. No boxes ever were transported, and no response from the otherside of the trade?

So no one lost anything, other than two people who knew a trade wasn't going to happen, and some animosity?

The OP was lied to & led to believe JVMeier had shipped. If the OP hadn't retained control of his box it appears likely he would have been robbed of his beer. It's entirely appropriate to warn the community. The fact that what appears to be a scamming thief was unsuccessful hardly makes him innocent. Nor is he harmless as others could easily be taken in. If any of the allegations are incorrect @JVMeier has been invited to share his side of the story. Despite being on the site he hasn't bothered to do so.

I'm not sure how you see it any differently, FATCITY. The OP isn't simply a disgruntled trader venting. He's someone who cares enough to warn the community.

His intent was to defraud, or else the OP would have had his box as he was told shipped. Since it didn't.... And Just because beer wasn't lost doesn't exonerate the guy. He's a thwarted beer thief, anyone who deals with him knowing this thread exists deserves what they get. If you trust him set up a trade and you ship first, how's that. @ fatcity

Why no negative feedback? Not using the system means future traders will have to stumble upon or search for this thread. ....Glad youre not out any beer, guy sounds like a DB.
