Cans for all the reasons mentioned, but there is something aesthetically pleasing about browsing the bomber aisle at my local bottle shop. And on that note, you can put cans in a cooler of ice and the label won't get wet and look crappy for WBAYDN

Many good reasons already listed for cans, another I would add is the ease of which they transport and stack. As an outdoor enthusiast, hauling along bottles to a campsite is a real pain. With so many great brews coming in cans now, I am all for it. Someone else posted about not being sure about good thick RIS brews coming out of cans, to which I would respond -
    Ten Fidy!

I have absolutely no objective way to prove it, but beer from a glass bottle seems to just taste better. Same thing with pop, nothing beat a 7-Up from my grandparents when I was a kid.

I went cans because my favorite styles are IPA'S and Pales and I swear both styles taste better out of a can........

Can. Though, bottles sure look prettier in the fridge...

    Just to reiterate--CANS!
    1. Lighter for transporting/less cardboard packaging
    2. Keeps light out
    3. No breakage
    4. Stacks in my fridge
    5. Lighter recycling bin/crushable, so no obnoxious piles of empties at home/I donate them to someone who sells aluminum
    6. I don't know if it's still the novelty, but they just look slick. And tallboys!
    7. (Guessing) Cheaper for breweries

Bottles unless I'm going somewhere where they will be an issue. I can reuse them for homebrewing and I think beer tastes better out of glass.

When I have a choice I take cans. They are light, get cold fast and are space efficient. The first beer I ever had came out of a can. Draft beer comes out of a big can. However, if I'm at an outdoor event like a picnic where I won't have a glass to pour it into, then I'll take the bottle. Bottle or can, I'm easy to please, just make sure there's beer in it.

If you drop a can, it can "break" although you won't have shattered shards to deal with.

I still vote for bottles, but I am slowly coming over to the aluminum dark side.

I hated cans with a passion for years.

Best reason for cans- they are less susceptible to oxidation (because the inverted top of the can pushes air out of the way before it's crimped, as opposed to the bottle's crown which will trap a little air on top of the bottle beforehand), and so are much better for hoppy beers, but also better for beers overall.

When it comes to buying an IPA, I'm always more comfortable going with the can.

Which, as I usually break things when I shouldn't be partaking in any more alcoholic beverages for the rest of the night, I appreciate on behalf of Drunk Me.

I prefer the look of bottles in by beer fridge, but my favorite IPA and porter both only come in cans so I guess cans get my vote.

I love bottles but there's something about a can that makes me have a preference for it. I would love to see BA stouts in cans, and I am excited to try Union Jack in a can.

FW really needs to bitch-slap their distributor in my part of NJ. The freshest we ever see is the rare 6-week old stuff; usually it's 3+ months. Their beers, especially Union Jack and Double Jack, are so excellent when they are 'on', but they don't have the following they deserve because of the freshness issues. I am naively hoping that the cans will cure some of that problem, mostly because of how much fresher they will seem to taste compared to the bottles <fingers crossed>.
