    Was in DE last week. $29.99. Cost was close to $24 on this one from what I've heard! Every place got 1 case if they got it... Long Gone down here. Remember no tax in DE!!

    No, no sales tax in Delaware, just road tolls everywhere you go.

    yeah sadly we (or I at least) have gotten boned every year on state taxes, never a refund. wish I lived in the coove, then drive to portland :grinning:

    Err... you understand that you are basically entirely in control of whether you get a refund or not, right? If you want to loan the government money until next April, just tell your payroll department to increase your withholding.

    yeah, I have in the past done 0 withholding, and for years been screwed out of a refund from oregon. I get a fed refund...

    There's no such thing as being "screwed out of a refund". The taxes you owe are the taxes you owe, whether you pay it out of your paychecks or on April 15th. (Assuming you haven't under-withheld so severely that you're getting hit with penalties.)

    Yeah, don't believe that. I file a 0 all year. I get refunds on federal but not state, I always owe money. Well I guess I make too much money or that I don't have kids but wait, I took a 40g pay cut from the previous year and still owe!!!! Been this way for what, 10 years, even before I bought a house. Anyway, OR can suck their state tax!

    Not to get too far off topic... but yeah, this is the same conversation I remember having with my mom years ago (she always expressed considerable envy about the size of my refund, and her lack of a refund). I told her I could easily fix the problem for her, but when I explained to her just how I would do that (and the effect this would have on her current monthly pay check), she suddenly decided that the current status quo wasn't so bad after all. For some reason the idea of giving the IRS an interest free, short term loan wasn't the least bit interesting or attractive to her.
