Awesome collab. JK kills it and Live Oak is the REAL O.G. (not original gravity). Really like to see JK folks not forgetting roots.

Interesting. I'm really curious as to what this will taste like if the banana esters aren't eaten by the Brett.

My guess is that it will taste like a JK beer. Their yeast is pretty expressive and the extended aging will probably eliminate any LO ester production. I think any expecting some type of hybrid will be disappointed. That being said, these are just my thoughts, I could be wrong.

I'm suddenly inspired to try some blending of Live Oak Hefe and Das Wunderkind.

That might give you an idea, but most likely it wont. JK's brett will go to town on the esters produced by LO's yeast, which could potentially produce something that doesn't resemble a JK beer.

Luckily, this won't be replacing Live Oak Hefe. If this is half as good as Kolkaborationsbier, it will be a tasty treat. I have high hopes.

We sampled it this morning, and it tasted much like a sour version of LO Hefeweizen. It could of course, and likely will, taste much different after extended time in the barrel and then the bottle.

It's all good, never a bad time at JK.

I'll try and remember to bring you a bottle of b1/b2 BA legion and the raspberry temptress if I can get it by then.
