Looking for coconut forward porter or stout.

    I'm currently looking for something very chocolatey and coconut forward. Any suggestions? Also, interested in learning of different styles with coconut in them.

    Hodad from Fiddlehead in VT, but that is something you would have to trade for. Quite sweet, but precisely what you are looking for

    Don't know many off hand, but I've heard of people toasting some shreded coconut and ussing a coffeepress w/ a imperial stout to absorb the flavor. also w/ coco nibs, cinamon, peppers, etc.

    No! Anyone who tasted any coconut in that beer is lying. As good as NoDa's Coco Loco is, I wouldn't even recommend it, because coconut is barely present.

    It'll probably take a good trade to offer for it, but you need Momi Hiwa. They don't get any more forward than that.

    I've never tried it but the OP asked for a coconut and chocolate porter or stout hence why I suggested it.

    Baxter Window Seat is the most Coconut beer I've ever tasted. By a mile. The mention of Hodad above is also a great rec - excellent beer.

    If you can trade for Norm from Wormtown in Massachusetts, give it a go. It's one helluva a delicious beer. My other suggestion would be Coconut Barrel Aged Framinghammer from Jack's Abby, but I haven't tried it so I don't know if it's coconut forward or not. Regardless, all the iterations of Framinghammer are excellent.

    +1 on the Window Seat. Baxter just started Distro'ing in NYC and I grabbed one the other night. Tons of Coconut.

    I've had a few pretty good coconut beers. They are:

    Jack's Abby's Cocoa-Nut BA Framminghammer
    Wormtown's Norm
    and I'll second benzalman's recommendation of Baxter's Window Seat which I had recently and really enjoyed.
